Friday Roll Call
I am getting ready for work....thank God it's Friday.
What a day yesterday. I forgot to send the Controller an Excel File and when I did it was wrong, because one of the formulas that was plugged in was wrong and I didn't notice it. It was a spreadsheet that was being used when I started to work there. I felt confident that the spreadsheet was set up correctly (since it had been used all year). Boy I was wrong. This stupid thing grabbed numbers not only from July but also 2 weeks in June. I guess I should have double checked the totals to make sure they were correct. Anyway, I hate when I look stupid and in front of the Controller!!! I hope she wasn't mad...it was an over-sight.
So I am glad it's Friday.
Today we are having a BBQ at Brenda's house. It will be a nice end to the week. That is it for my day.
Dawn- homemade ricotta??? Is it hard to make?
Lisa- I can't believe your neighbor called you at 1am??? What was she thinking???
Nancy- Enjoy your new computer!!!
So what is going on with you guys today???
Crystal, I think we all have had days like that. I know I do, and I bet Nancy has too.
Dawn, Can you share the ricotta recipe with us?
I am glad Kevin is home, and over some of the rough spots.
I am working on the scrapbook from Michigan. If someone can tell me how to put pictures on FB, on the main page,, I would appreicate it. Mine always turn up on my timeline only.
Today is some errands and an oil change. Nothing exciting.
Have a great, warm day.
Hugs,
LISA
Good morning!
Boy you all are up early! I thought I was early but not compared to some of you! We've been watching the Olympics pretty much of the time. It was pretty interesting last night. We also went to a neighborhood meeting where the alderman was there and our police officer who is the neighborhood contact. It was worth the time. They are going to make major street changes over the next 5-10 years which will make it easier to get around in Rockford. I think it will reduce the traffic in our neighborhood, but others don't. These kinds of things really get people riled up!
We might go to the Friday night farmer's market tonight--depends on the weather!
Have a good day!

I am looking forward to having Partillo's for dinner! A friend is coming in from the "burbs and is bringing some beef! What a treat! I will pick Liv us from the Y and we will head home to yummy!
I have not yet made the ricotta, but it looks easy enough and the areticle said that it is WAY tastier than store bought. I am also going to make home made buttermilk and Greek Yogurt. I will post the ricotta recipe as an R.O.D.
OH is acting up so I'd better type fast......everyone have a splendid day!
I am really enjoying my day off being super lazy. Tomorrow it is back to the norm and running errands, grocery shopping etc.
Lisa, the story on Rick was he was up at Hines for a couple of days for som routine proceedures. He took the van from the local VA clinic up and was supposed to get a ride home in the van. Well, he called me on Wednesday and said that he was being released and would catch the van home to come pick him up when I got off work. I went to get him at the local VA clinic and NO Rick. They said they did not have record of him on the van. Then they called Hines, and Hines confirmed he had been released and was taken to the Van area to get the Van back to LaSalle between 1 and 2 pm. So where was Rick? I went back home and he finally arrives home after 5pm. The LaSalle clinic did not get the message that he was to get a ride home and the LaSalle driver did not make the afternoon trip to Hines. So the Joliet van driver took pity on Rick and took him and arranaged to bring him to LaSalle. The hole thing ended up in being a comedy of errors where Hines forgot to call the LaSalle clinic to let them know that there would be an afternoon passanger. There needs to be a better communication process. But the funnier story was I had called the LaSalle clinic to see if Rick was there and was told yes. When I got there and asked for Rick they pointed to a stranger who had the same last name as Rick. So they had confused their patients even more. It was funny in the end but very confusing.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Have a good weekend.
