Lisa, I remember you said something to me yesterday and I thought I would respond today but now I forgot what you said.

No coffee for me this morning.  Blood test at 11.

Oh, now I remember.  I slept in even later this morning.  No reason for a guy who worked outside as much as I did to get up when it is raining.

What is everyone else up to.

Good morning!

It looks like a lot of us slept in this morning. I love the sound of rain on the roof, but I was not thrilled that the newspaper was totally soaked. I did read the paper online but it takes longer that way. However, what do I have but time?

I was thinking about blocking some knitting today. The only problem is trying to get up the stairs afterwards, but perhaps it's time. I can always stop half way up and rest.

We had fun in Madison even though it was hot. Did some shopping at Metcalf's which is a fabulous grocery store, went out to lunch and then to the doctor. He is pleased with the healing of my incision and even took out a stitch which had worked its way to visible. Fortunately that didn't hurt! He says there are waterproof bandages I can take to Tahiti so I can go swimming even if the openings aren't closed. We'll see!

Have a great day!

Hello all,
Hope all are enjoying the cooler temps I know i am happy with them!!
This morning I went to my classroom to try to unpack and get settled in.  (Had to move rooms) I did manage some work then I chatted my time away.  I need to go there when no one is around.  I love to chat!
My poor son has his first heart break yesterday.  He and his girlfriend broke up.  Yes, my heart hurts for him, but I know he will be fine.  He is already talking of looking at colleges in areas the gf did not want.  Specifically Az.  We have family in Tucson, my kids were born there and they have always wanted to go back.  U of A is a good school!  Husband's alma mater! He starts his new job tomorrow at Mariano's.  Good things in his future.
I need to return my eye glasses to Sam's.  I was prescribed bi-focals and I keep getting sick when wearing them.  I am going to get readers and then glasses for distance.  I so do not like the current pair.
Hope all have a great day!  Enjoy the temps!

I love Mariano's.  A great store with low cost to high end so you can decide for yourself if a higher price product is actually quality and thus saves you money in the long run or if it is just fluff built up by advertising.

No rain for us here either, but went bowling and miniature golfing. Felt good to get out of the house for a while.

My daughters MIL has been transferred to Chicago for a liver transplant. She has been placed next in line. They also put her on dialysis because her kidneys are not functioning  right. Her heart is also week. It has been determined it was not suicide, she has taken Tylenol    too long for the head aches she had been having for the last 2 years. The numbers were really bad in her system. I am so glad it was not an attempt on her self to leave this world!

Thanks

Oh my!!!!

I am also glad to hear it was not an attempt on her own life!

BUT........was she taking more than the recommended amount of Tylenol?  That is a LOT of damage and being RNY, that is ALL they let me take for pain.  Very scary!

Sending healing energy her way.

Tell someone that you love them!

My brother had a liver transplant.  When I had my surgery and then afterward when I crashed due to a potasium deficiency they had me in the ICU for liver transplant patients that Sweetness' wife donate to UIC.  I have a special desire in my heart that smoother funding and away from home living arrangements are built for liver transplant patients and their families since many are sick for years and lose their jobs and insurance before the actaul need is determined and then medicare and medicaid try to make them wait two years before paying anything.  Just administrative states killing people and can be cut through but I had to Hillary Clinton to get it done.
