Going outside for my second cup of coffee.

Maybe an Aldi run in my future today.  Found a new one on Milwaukee that is better for bus runs than the other two closer ones.  Hope it carries all that I like to buy at Aldi.

Also learning Python with a free online college course.

Access Chicago was good yesterday for me but no new mobility tech on display.

What is everyone else up to.

Randy

So you have been forgiven?

I have Dave @ phy torture right now. Not much going on 4 us other than giving Dave a hair cut when we get home from PT.

It is interesting how each Aldi carries different stock. We like the one in EGV the best but the one near Rolling Meadows is nice also.

Good Morning Everyone!

I think we have some early birds here.  I cant believe that it is only 7:15 and Randy is on his 2nd cup of coffee and Chris and Dave are at PT.    A lot of people are just getting up.  I am at work of course.  I only work half a day today and then I am off for the weekend.  It was pleasantly cooler this morning with a nice breeze but it is not going to last.  I enjoyed it while I could.

Rick's son is down and went over to Augustan college yesterday to check it out and fell in love!  It would be nice to have him close to us.

Not much else happening.  Karen, I am so happy your husband's surgery went well.  I pray that he is able to get back to work soon and things can return to normal.

Everyone have a great day!

Went to the dr this morning with DH for a follow up and He could see today 7 feet out in front. This is good news, since they did not know the extent of damage he had. We are lucky though that the blood clot clog was in the eye not the brain, because it would have been a stroke. So the prayers are working! Thanks

Now it's time for me to think about me again. I have not been doing my best I know this and it saddens me to see the scales up! I will bring it back down, with patients.

Christine, I have not forgot you and Dave in my prayers either. I've just been so busy to  make regular updates, I do try and stop by and see how everyone is doing!

After all friends like I have here on OH are hard to come by!

Love ya all!

Hi all,

Attended a Bariatric support group meeting last night.  It was hosted by a Dietition who did a wonderful job.

I secheduled by post op and dietitian appointments today.  I am having my surgery in Las Vegas but will be seeing a local RNY surgeon here for post-op visits.

I reache 60 lbs pre-op weight loss today!

They opened a Mazrianos grocery store in Libertyville.  What a wonderful store!

Going to Door County tonight.  Two of my daughters and my grandson will be joining us.  I need a relaxing weekedn before my surgery.

Have a great day!

I think you mean Mariano's.

They are a fantastic store. The first store was in Arlington Heights and I think it opened 2-3 years ago. I would love it if one of them came to my area as AH is a little bit of a drive for us but the quality of the merchandise is fantastic. I guess that I will just need to plan a trip to AH and then up to the JoAnn's that is slightly north of the grocery store. This JA's is a great store.

I think the story goes that the founder (CEO) is Robert Mariano and he was the CEO in the past of Roundy Foods north of the Cheddar Curtain. They have a great quality of food with the bakery, deli, veggies/fruit, meat and fresh seafood (they used to (hopefully still)  put the date on the fresh fish for the day it was caught!!!!), homemade brats and good sales - to begin with @ a grand opening. The local store's prices do have a tendancy to go back up after that time but the quality for the food stays static.

But, I am totally in favor of giving any of the big chains (Jewel, Dominick's, Mejier and the superstores) a run for their money.
