Sunday Roll Call
Happy Sunday everyone.
I woke up with a headache this morning. I did finally sleep except for the usual wake-ups for vitals but was able to get back to sleep. I think the headache is from caffeine withdrawal. I got some IV pain med and it is taking it away. I go down for a small bowel follow through sometime in the morning. Hopefully early like at 8. Once the report comes back to the doc and things show no blockage I was told I will be able to advance my diet. I have been so thirsty even with getting the IV but I have been a good girl with no sips snuck in.
Dave said that the flea market had a lot of people walking through but not too much buying. This economy still stinks. I do not care what Obama says; he needs to get out in the real world. So, maybe that was a good thing for me in one respect. But I had a bunch of necklaces that I had seen in magazines and I made them with my own little twist to it or different color beads. My nephew was disappointed in me not being there because he said even if no one bought anything he values the family time more than the money.
Well, you know what I am doing today. What is going on with all of you?

I began my pre-surgery diiet on Friday. I have stuck to it but it isn't easy as we are away with three other couples this weekend all staying in the same house. Everyone is FEASTING! The deserts are abundant and last night we all went out for ice cream. I have a bottle of flavored water while everone was boasting about how good thier ice cream was. I know what I was getting into so I am OK with it. I will have to deal with this for the rest of my life. My treat was adding some Michigan blueberries to my shake! It was actually pretty good.

Keep your eyes on the prize. Strive for the carrot (replace with surgery) an d watch for the light at the en d of the tunnel. You will be there before you know it. After getting through your doctor's po protocal you should still be able to have your favorite foods - just less of it, providing it is a healthy choice.

Good Afternoon Everyone!
It is another hot one today. Yesterday I got shopping out of the way. Today is my Sunday, lay back day. I wont be venturing out in the heat. I will wilt.
This weekend, I find myself really missing Tigger. It is so strange not to have him around. I know it is all part of the grieving process but it is still hardl.
Chris, I wish we could do something for you to prevent boredom. They are long days in the hospital.
Lisa, have fun in Michigan.
Kevin, you are at what I considered the hardest part of the surgery. The temptations are still there and you really want to eat and know you can. But hold on. It is well worth any of the feelings you have now which are normal.
Samantha, I cannot imagine going to an outdoor function today. UGH! Stay cool.
