Good Morning Everyone!

I am going to try to write this and hope I do not get any phone calls.  It is another warm day in store for us.  I hope our AC at work decides to work today.  It was out yesterday and it was 83 degrees in my cube.

Today I get my hair pretty after work.  Then home.

Kevin I hope you made it home safely.

Samantha, I hope you are back with the kids soon.  I would really miss them.

Randy, I admire you for living carless.  That would be a HUGE challange.

Chris, good luck Saturday and may you sell out all you jewelry.  I hope Dave is making progress in pt.

Dawn, I am so sorry your bone is not healing.  I had that happen once on a broken foot and had to have the bone stimulator too.  It does not hurt, just fustrating that it takes so long to heal.

Connie, it is so great to see you so active!  Hope your doctor appointment went well.

Crystal, we miss you.  Hope all is well.

Georgie, I am glad you are getting to enjoy Chloe so much this summer.  Too bad that Roxie misses her on the weekends.  That is cute that she goes and sleeps on Chloe's bed.

Everyone have a great day, stay cool and drink tha****er!

During the heat wave we were having issues here at the PD with the AC and it got to 91 in dispatch. They authorized the dispatchers to wear shorts to work. My room hit 85-87 at times.

Hope your AC issues get fixed pronto!  That is horrible!  I think it borders on inhumane.

This and listening to Jennifer Hudson were my favorite things last night.

Did you have any of the free Asian Carp samples?  They are courtesy of the Illinois River.  We are trying to find a valuable resource to use this invasive species.

I did not get any of the fish but would have if it had been available.  Do you work for that agency? 750 was a very small number when beginning at lunch.  The Asian newscaster I saw on tv at noon said she eats carp and liked the version given away better than the asian version.

They only had 750 servings?  That sounds like less than one fish.  These things are huge.  I do not work for that agency.  These fish are terrible invaders in the Illlinois River in our area.  They fly out of the water and they will even jump in your boat.  A fish is typically 5 ft long and weighs a lot.  They are a nuisence fish and the Illinois Wildlife Division and others in the area are trying to come up with a marketable plan to use these fish.  They are extremely invasive and they are trying to keep them out of the great lakes.  There has been talks of a fish processing plant near the river.  If more people would eat it then a market would grow and it would be profitable to harvest them.  They are huge multipliers and destroy aka eat othere fish.

Hi everyone!

Appointment with cardiologist went well. He is happy with my weight loss and agrees I need to be on less meds! Hooray! I told him I went to the top of a mountain in Costa Rica last year without any angina and that I considered it my stress test for last year. He laughed and agreed. It's nice to have a doc with a sense of humor.

We went to Vito's Ristorante for dinner last night. The portions were huge! We figured we'd get at least six more meals out of the left overs so it averages out to be pretty cheap! It was the best Italian food I've had in Rockford.

Randy, when we go out to breakfast on Wednesday I have one scrambled egg and a half English muffin. It's the company rather than the food I go for. We've been going out to breakfast with these women for 20 years!

Going to get the remote for my Kia programmed this morning. Whoee--exciting day! (LOL)

Stay cool!

Connie

Great doctor report!  I agree, it helps to have a doc with a sense of humor!
