Saturday Roll Call
The song We're Having a Heat Wave, A Tropical Heat Wave keeps going through my head. Relief is in store later today aaaaaaaawwwwww.
We are going to run a couple errands early and then get back home into the AC. Our car needs a recharge on the AC so it stays a little warm especially if the car sits in the sun.
What is happening with the rest of you
Nancy, sorry to hear about Tigger. Those little fur babies just crawl right into your hearts and it hurts when they leave us.
Karen, good to see you.
Dawn, sorry about Liv's ears.
Steven, enjoy your family visit in NY.
Crystal, happy to have you back on OH.
Later Gators

I am relaxing in bed reading and surfing the internet.
Today I don't have any big plans. I am just going to go to the store and do laundry. Tomorrow I am going to visit Amanda for the day. I have to sneak in some Amanda time.
Brenda's husband is crazy. He was out exercising in this heat yesterday. I told him he was nuts. If I did something like that I would make myself sick. He seemed fine...really sweaty but fine.
Chrisitne- I hope Dave is doing well.
Nancy- So sorry about Tigger.
Well time to get back to more relaxing....ahhhh!!!! See you all later....Bye

Well, Hubby and I both got new glasses yesterday. No eye problems found. Then last night, we met some friends for dinner . In between, we both vegged out.
Today, I am picking up the house, then my youngest will be here to swim. We will then do a cookout with burgers, slaw, baked beans and some kind of dessert, maybe a fresh peach cobbler.
Nancy, again, sorry for the lost of Tigger.
Steven, have a great trip.
Crystal, enjoy your day with Amanda tomorrow.
Hopefully the heat wave will crack today.
Hugs, LISA
Only one more day of vacation :(
We are wainting for the weather to clear a bit as we had some thunder storms last night in Egg Harbor. We are getting ready to go out on the boat for the day. Tonight we are having a cookout with a couple of the neighbors. They are bringing over a case of baby back ribs. I bought a small (12 lb) turkey that I will be cooking in my Orion cooker. We also bought corn on the cob and red potatos.
I hope everyone is enjoying thier weekend!
Kevin
Baby back ribs are the best especially 1 & 3/4 down, meaty and tasty. Cannot stand short ribs or "Buffalo" beef ribs. If you are going to eat then eat quality meats.

Hi everyone!
I certainly hope the heat wave breaks later today. Last night we went to Social despite the heat and I had Artic Char, a fish that's like a lighter salmon. Delicious and I'll be having the rest tonight. Kay had chicken and it was also delicious. We figured we'd get five meals out what we ordered which makes the price per serving quite reasonable, plus we love the staff there as well as the food!
This morning I woke up to blood on my nightgown. I don't remember if I mentioned that I have had two fistulas from the bowel to the outside since I had the emergency surgery in November. Then I had another place in the incision form and that was the one that was bleeding during the night. Ugh! I'm so sick of having this dressing that has to be changed three times a day. Most of the incision is almost totally healed except for these three spots. The doctor says they'll heal when they are ready. Well, I am ready now! (The incision couldn't be closed at the time of surgery because it would've put too much pressure on my heart and lungs so it had to heal from the inside out).
Enough complaining. I need to be grateful that I'm alive and doing well!
Have a good day and drink lots of water!

Yes, a very sad day for Liv yesterday. Her right eardrum is retracted and there is a build up of fluid behind it and does not seem to be the kind of fluid that will clear with antibiotics. It is chronic and looks like motor oil. After many, many tears (for both of us) we decided that "better safe than sorry" was the way to go and she will not take the SCUBA portion of the Marine Biology camp. The school is being very accomodating and she can still snorkel and "surface dive" but the risk of going 30 feet or more under is just too great. The SCUBA portion is a very small portion of the 3 weeks. Once the ear issues are fixed, she will pursure SCUBA certification locally. After the tears and decision was made, she bounced back pretyy well and is excited to get there and see her friends.
We are going downtown Chicago to see some friends and family and stay over at the hotel where my brother works. That way, we only have to get up at 6 to get her to the airport instead of 3:30-4:00 am. Should be fun. I know I missed Liv terribly last year and she was only gone 2 weeks.
David is still disappointing us and not doing much of anything helpful. I tried to discuss it with him and he just doesn't see it.
I am hoping for the promised cool down as this heat has been enough already.
Everyone have a wonderful day!
