Sunday Roll Call
What is going on today? We just found out a short while ago that someone in Dave's life (cousin) violated his confidentiality and told one of his sister's about his broken shoulder! Dave was going to call his two sisters today and tell them. He is so pissed!
Been to Bfast, grocery store and back home. The bath is clean, laundry done, tom's watered etc.
Off to vacuum and straighten up more.

For me since my surgery I don't eat any red meat or pork. I enjoy chicken, seafood& turkey. I
also eat organic brown rice. Also I eat healthy. Its amazing I don't mis eating unhealthy foods.

Sorry Dave to hear of your shoulder, wishing you a speedy recovery.Have you had it repaired yet?
I have put my very unhealthy husband on a food schedule he can only eat if I make it and he can not put stuff in my cart at the store. I weighed him on Friday and was shocked. He is 334.1 on a 5' 9 frame. Maybe this was a good thing this all came up at this time. He snores so bad. If he keeps this up, I am going to insist in a sleep study. We will pay for it some how. I fear for his life.
Sorry to share this all but as I have found out my friends here are all I have I can talk to honestly! I love you all for this.
Thanks for listening you are all awesome!
Love ya all bunches

This happened with us over our WLS. One of Dave's "friends" violated a friendship and told a co-worker (Dave's young cousin that worked with him as a French teacher). We are pretty sure that his first cousin (mom & her mom - Dave's aunt) knows of our WLS. We were so pissed and now this has resurfaced as it is the same part of the family. Noone has approached us about our WL but they keep bringing up our WL when they see us and we bru**** off as we keep it to ourselves and it is none of their business. I had ignorance with Dave's sister when I went for my 1st attempt for WLS and she still holds that mentality.
We are hurt by what has transpired. We will "sit" on not going any further with talking any further with his family. They will come around but will never be trusted in the future.
On a positive side note - all of my family knows about our WLS and is positive with it. I have a sister and niece that have RNY and am working on the niece's husband to do something with his weight before his kids cannot enjoy him in the future.
HUGS to ou my friend. Are you going to be at the LWB Reunion?

I had planned on coming but with the lack of pay checks I really don't know. I love coming up for this. Maybe I can get the husband to come up and spend a couple days with me if the funds are there! I would really like to see you and Dave.
I will never trust my own Mother again with anything. I love her but can not trust her!
Hugs back to you and Dave!
Another HOT one today. Ugh! That just means more time hibernating in the ac and only going to places that have ac. I ran errands yesterday and picked up my car. It got a remote start put in. Then I went to several stores later in the afternoon.
Chris and Karen, I have a family grapevine that is so fast that they hear about something practically before you know it! Secrets/privacy is so hard to maintain. I feel for you. I think they share out of concern. I know I am terribly concerned about my counsin and his ex wife who have homes in the path of the Colorado forest fires. So far they have not lost their houses, but I check every day. It is scary. Chris, I tried to keep my WLS surgery from one sister because she was so negative whenever I broached the surgery, then she found out behind my back and was hurt that I had not told her. She ended up being one of my best supporters.
Chris, good luck to Dave tomorrow. Prayers going up for him and a successful surgery.
Sharon, enjoy the rib fest! I am with Chris, I would die in this heat!
Stephen, good for you for getting your errands out of the way. I too do not eat a lot of beef and pork -- maybe once a week. I am fine without it. But I will eat it.
Karen, it sounds like you are staying strong, both in the 5 day pouch test and coping with your new situation! Congratulations! Also, good for you for taking your husbands weight problem under your belt. You are right, if it is not prepared, it will not be eaten. Good luck!

I threatened today to put a lock on the fridge. I fed him brunch at about 12:30 and he came in not more then an hour later to make a bologna sandwich, I did not buy the bologna, he did, he had it in his fridge in the truck. I scolded him like a 2 year old. I then make him a turkey sandwich on diet whole wheat bread. I figured I have to eat often and if I control his amount the sandwich was fine. I was happy to see tonight for dinner he was very filled with a controlled amount of food!
Thanks for the support, I knew I could get it here! Thanks to all of you!
