Staying out of the heat this morning.  Cheryl has cooked up some onions and eggs with a link of sausage but is coughing basly so we need to decide if she will work from home today as her office is mad at her for coming to work coughing all this week.

I think I am first only due to not having much email this morning and Chris being busy with Dave.

Hello everyone

It's Friday Eve all!!!!

Yesterday at work they treated us for lunch again.  They had chicken, and all kinds of other stuff but I just had 2 pieces of chicken.  I was a good girl and stayed away from the cheesy potatoes and baked mostaccoli and desserts.  This place is bad with the food.  Like I mentioned before they have FREE vending machine snacks!!!  They always have donuts or cookies in the lunchroom.  Bowls of candies...like starburst and Werthers...all over the office.  What's a girl to do???

Amanda and Charles are going away on a anniversary weekend today.  For Christmas I bought them a Bed & Breakfast gift card and they are using it this weekend.  Then from there they are spending a week in Mississippi with Habitat for Humanity.  I have been thinking maybe I could do some volunteering for Habitat for Humanity.  But I don't want to do it by myself.  That is the key...getting someone else to come.

Randy- it seems that you are an old pro getting around Chicago already.  Chicago seems to be a good fit for you.

Well I better get going.  I have to finish getting ready for work.

Have a great day all...bye

Good Morning,

Blue skies again this morning,My kind of summer day.

I will be in the pool later today. But first I do have a couple of errands to run.

Crystal, you have a great daughter and SIL.  Go volunteer for Habitat. You will meet a lot of other people. Plus it is a great program.

Life is Good,

Hugs,
LISA

Best of luck with all the sweets around and carbs.  As a bander, iirc, you are still able to swap exercise for carbs but that can be a very slippery slope not if but when you cannot exercise either from timing conflicts, weather or injury.

Chicago is a fun place to be and this neighborhood reminds me of one I lived in for about twenty of my years in Houston.  I had a guy telling me of a three story old home close to here up for sale for 40K and then there are new condos built likely four to six to a lot and those built into one hundred year old buildings selling for 300K.  Really makes me want to go back into Real Estate just for the fun of actaully trying to appraise those values for myself.

It is also amazing going from Irving Park Ave, The Mag Mile and North into dentist and doctors offices that could be in any suburb once inside there doors and then returning to those outside worlds.

I too have wanted to volonteer with HFH but not in this heat.

Good Morning Everyone!

It is going to be a HOT one out there today!    Please avoid getting overheated and keep drinking those fluids!  We do not need anyone sick from the heat!

Well, I am  sitting here disappointed in my doctor's visit yesterday.  I would like to have just one year without health issues.  It seems that the back is continuing to degenerate.  What he thought would last for another 10 years is already deterorating and I am now scheduled for an MRI.  I guess my surgery put too much stress on the next Lumbar area.    I am going back to physical therapy.  I DO NOT want to go thorough surgery again if I can help it.  I would question this doctor but he is rated number one in neurological spine surgery in the United States.  Where can I get a better opinion?  I just want a new body.

Dawn, I am so sorry that Live still has fluid in her ears.  I sure hope it disappears in the next couple of weeks so that she can go scuba diving.

Connie, you do so much traveling.  I am so envious.  I have never been to Door county.  Always wanted to go there.  Enjoy!

Lisa, be careful out in the sun today.  I know you are in a pool, but hot is hot.

Crystal, is your company a newly established company or has it been around awhile?  Are there any job openings?  I would love to work for a company like that.  What do they do?

Chris, I feel for both you and Dave.  You have the hard task of being caregiver and doing so much extra while Dave is frustrated with not being able to do anything.

Randy, I agree that you have adapted to Chicago so well.

Debbie, it is hard to believe that summer school is almost over.  Then you can enjoy a break before heading back for the full year.

Everyone have a great day and stay cool!

Hello all,

Go**** is hot already. Just came in from watering my garden.

I have to go into Joliet to court this afternoon. I am a bit worried. It is to discuss options regarding our house which is in foreclosure. I lost my job after working at the same company for 11 years. The company was purchased by another compnay and they got rid of the management (me) and brought in their own people. My husband lost his job after 8 years because his company lost a contract.

On a positive note, I am exercizing daily and have lost 70 lbs total since I started the journey.

Have a blessed day everybody.

Best,

Sharon
