Sunday Roll Call
One more day to the week-end Well, we did not get to the pool yesterday as it ended up overcast all day(not what the weather forecaster said). It was a good day to sit back and recharge. We did end up walking a lot outside and in.
Sun is showing so far with high clouds but blue skys showing through.
What is going on in your area of IL today? We will get out to the pool even if it is overcast and then we will eat at the steak house here on the property.

I am getting ready to run to the store for a few ingredients for "Curried Beef Short Ribs" then will look for some "pea sticks" for the peas in the garden to climb. Gotta get everything watered and weeded. Todd is going to work on splitting more wood and perhaps David will come and help. I also need to clean the carpet on my stairs, but we will see how far I get.
I really feel like just relaxing but stuff needs to get done. Maybe I can fit in a little chill time later.

So far it is a beautiful looking Sunday! Not much going on here. I need to do the usual house fun - laundry, cleaning etc. I am not sure if I told you all I finally bought my new vacuum!! I ended up getting the Dyson!! WOW what a gift! I bought the smaller version that was the daily special on HSN, so I can pay a flex pay style! Fit so much better in the budget that way! The Dyson arrived this past Wednesday and I already love it! The only regret, I wish the canister was larger. Yes I do have two large dogs, but I never knew how many dogs were hiding in my rugs!!!
I had the Hoover Windtunnel prior to the Dyson but I guess the dog hair avoided it at all costs! I have not seen the fibers of my rugs standing so tall in so long!! I am so happy I choose the Dyson. Ok enough commercial!!Last night my daughter and I went to see the movie Rock of Ages!! WHAT FUN!! Who knew Tom Cruise could sing! If you have any memories of the 80's rock, you will love the music! We meet with a few of my work friends and it was so much fun! Of course my daughter was a bit embarrassed with her mom all bouncy with the music. But hey, when you are 14 everything your mom does is embarrassing!!

Hi folks!
Another quiet day in retired land. Last night we went to Social for dinner (our favorite restaurant). I hadn't been there since the surgery because all the chairs are high and I didn't think I could get on them. Well I just sat down and they were fine. Many of the staff know us and they were all so welcoming! Kay had lamb meat balls which were wonderful and I had ravioli stuffed with house made head cheese--delicious! Of course I could only eat half of the serving so I'll have the rest for dinner tonight. They do have more "normal" food on the menu, but every tie I've had something "weird" there it has been fabulous so it's a good place to be adventurous. many of the plates are "small plates" which is perfect for us and even then we almost always take something home.
It sounds like many of you will have a busy day. Take a minute to chill and enjoy the moment!

It is a day for me to chill. I got everything done yesterday. Right now, just trying to convince Tigger to take his medicine. He is being stubborn. He knows he cant go outside until he has his meds so it is his choice and he seems to understand. Stubborn cat!
It is supposed to be a warm one today so inside with the ac sounds like a plan.
