If you have IE 7 you can have multiple windows (tabs) open and write your roll call and then check on the second window and see if anyone has posted and then if not hit submit. This is how I do it all the time.

I do this at home, but when I am at work, I do not want to open too many non work related windows. No reason to call attention to what I am doing.
