RED FONT FOR RED HOT DAY!!!

It is supposed to be bad up here today like it was yesterday but worse in the heat index. We are getting our walking around done before it gets real bad and then we will hit the pool here at the motel.

What is revolving around in your world down there below the Cheddar Curtain? The Dells could be a little busier but I guess that they will take some business as opposed to no business. We have met a lot of nice people on the street and here where we are staying as we usually do when we come up.

Later Gators!

Good Morning Chris and Everyone!

Chris, for being on vacay, you get up mighty early!  I would be sleeping in and taking advantage of that opportunity.  I was up late last night and was trying to sleep through my alarm this morning.  I was not recognizing that "noise" as an alarm.

I am trying to stay cool but that is challenging at work.  It is stuffy in here when I arrive in the morning.  We have been busy so that makes the day go by faster.

Last night flew by.  I am not sure where it went.  I saw Rick after he returned from spending some time with Gage for Fathers day.  They had fun together.  He got some nice presents.

Today it is work and home and trying to stay cool.  Drink plenty of fluids, and stay out of the sun!

I was a little warm so I got up. I hate when motels put vinyl mattress pads on under the sheet. I get so warm. UUUUGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Good Morning,

It is to be a hot one here today also.

Well, yesterday I finally decided to cool off by jumping into the pool. It did cool me off, and it was quiet out there. Usually there are kids yelling a couple of houses down, and you can't hear yourself think.

Not much happening today. I need to go to the Dr.s office and pickup a new script. Also call unemployment for the first callin of the year. I am suppose to get180 a week, but, because of Soc. Sec., they reduce it  over 50%. Illinhois is only one of 3 states that does it.

I did get a letter from S.S. yesterday. Seems that I made too much in 2011, and I have to repay $235. That is not good. I am going over there tomorrow and see where the problem is. will also go to Cout about that small accident I had back in March. All I want to do is pay the dang thing.

Life is Good,

Hugs,

LISA

Damn, I hate it when you have to pay the government. Isn't it something like 1 1/2 times the dollar amount over 14G that you have to pay for every dollar?

Good morning Chris and the rest of Illinois!

Vacation sounds great!  Even though I was off for 8 weeks, it was nothing close to a vacation.  I did save one day to use later.

I am working, working working.  Last night, I spent over an hour weeding the carrots in the garden.  The other girls hoed to loosen weeds but the carrotts were to small and delicate for a hoe.  They need to be done by hand and I only got 2 rows done!  There are LOTS of weeds!  The lettuce is about ready though so I might pick some for salad tonight.

Liv got her snorkel, fins, mask, boots and ear plugs last night courtesy of her grandparents as a late birthday present.  She is happy but I will not let her "play" with them until the doc says her ears are clear.  She had a bit of fluid behind the right drum a few weeks ago so we will have it looked at on the 27th.  I sure HOPE it clears up as diving is a BIG part of this year's camp.

David has now lost his job due to not being able to arrive on time.  He worked here and has been given more chances than ANYONE should get and he STILL blew it.  I am very worried about him.  I got a depressed text message from him at 4:30 am today.  He says he will come over soon to talk about moving home.  I will let him move home, but I am not sure that is the answer.  Bi-polar runs on Todd's mom's side.  I am at the point of thinking that if he does not get help he will find life to be very difficult.  I guess there will have to be strict boundries.

Besides that, Liv is a busy, busy girl and Todd and I are like empty-nesters.  I guess we should enjoy it for now.

Everyone have a wonderful day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Prayers to you and your family that you can make wise decisions with David and that if he needs medical care that he will seek and receive it.

Hi everyone!

I hope you are staying cool in this heat. I have been home all day and spent the afternoon listening to a webinar that I was interested in. Even though I'm not going back to work, I want to keep current in a few areas and this is an easy way to do it. Kay is working the Master Gardener hotline answering telephone calls from the Winnebago County public. She loves to do this; I would find it tedious. That's why we all have different personalities. LOL

Dawn, my son is 35 and just now starting to grow up. He's riding a bike to work in Phoenix in the afternoon heat because he hasn't paid a traffic fine yet. It's hard to stand there and let them hit the wall but it's the only way to learn. I hit a few walls myself at that age, as did most of us. If you decide to let him move home, maybe he needs a contract for rent or lawn services or whatever so that you aren't just providing without limits.

Tonight we go out to dinner to celebrate Kay's birthday (yesterday) at Abreo with a group of friends. It will be a fun time!

Connie, you seem to be moving almost full throttle ahead with your rehab - Out to dinner and thinking of work. Keeping an active mind helps heal the body.

Good evening all,
Wow another hot day here!  I am glad I have central air!!!
I remember when I was having kids people would tell me that the 2's and 3's are the hard years.  I think I need to argue that.  My son is 17 and he and his dad, my husband, are not getting along.  There is so much tension when the two are together.  I can not stand this.  My son is trying to be his own boss and my husband is trying to make our son accountable and follow the rules.  OMG!!  WIll I survive this!  My son is determined to move away and never come back.  He will be 18 in September and will be done with school in December.  He keeps telling me that he can not live here and that he needs to leave.  I understand their need to grow and experience life but it sure does hurt when he claims he will never return.  I just keep praying that as he gets older and wiser he will mature and this will all be behind us.  I just do not want to end up one of those families where the child never talks again.  That would just break my heart.  Oh well.  One day at a time.
Me, I am doing ok.  Keeping cool and drinking my water.  School is going well.

Christine - hope you are staying cool up north. It is sure a warm one here.  Of course it could be alot worse.  Enjoy the pool.  I wish we had one!!

Nancy - I hate the alarm clock as well.  On Monday I woke up at 6:45 and I try to leave by 7:20.  OOPS!!!

Lisa - I hope you were able to get everything settled.  The SS sounds like a rip off.  Really, they are making you repay 200$??!!  Crazy!

Dawn - Your daughter sounds like she is going to have fun learning to dive.  My family and I began SCUBA certified last summer.  It is a good time.  You are smart to have her ears checked out as the pressure sure is strong.

Connie - Glad to see you are staying cool during this heat.  Have fun going out to dinner.

Take care all
Debbie
