Monday Roll Call
Good Morning Everyone!
What is happening in your corner of the world? I know, it is Monday and if you are like me, you would rather be back home in bed, but here were are, working and enjoying are day!
I got my new car Saturday. It was a busy day. I had my check class in the morning and then came home and got a bite to eat and finished up my paperwork for class. Then went and picked up my car. I got a fantastic loan rate of 1.75% I could not believe it! So I am now a proud owner of a Mercury Mariner Premier.
Not a lot of plans for the week. What is going on in your life today? Hope it is an excellent day!

Slept so good last night, I just love vacay because my brain finally relaxes. We are to get the heat and humidity up here also. We are going to a little place called Deer Park. They have a lot of different deer, elk, buffalo, other exotic 4 legged critters and the nice thing about this place is that it is way back in the trees and is cool in there even during the heat of the day. After that it is back to the pool to relax and look at bead mags and catalogs. Silly me I brought all of my beads up with me and I am putting together necklace combos and then putting the beads loose in a bag to make the necklace later on. We also are doing real well with eating and exercies. We are sharing most of our meals except bfast. Dave like Eggs Benedict (yuck) and I am a traditional girl of over medium egg and toast

Nancy, enjoy your new car. 1.75 is excellant. i think that is what we are paying also. I do not know what your payments are, or for how long, but, try to pay extra every month, and try to make an extra payment or two. It really cuts down the interest. Plus, if you do get into a bind one month, and can't make the payment, you have the extra to fall back on.
I need to go to Walmart this morning. My MP3 died. So I need to relace it. I also need to get a few things I forgot to get the other day from Krogers.
Steven, enjoy your day.
Christine, I agree with you on vacations. You forget the hassels of everyday life.
Connie, I also take the Bariactric Advantage vitimins and calcium. They are expensive, but so worth it.
Hubert has to run down to Bloomington, later today. I am not sure if I am going with him or not.

Had a snack around noon of summer squash and mozerella cheese, so I turned off the A/C because my ancient microwave and the AC together blow the circuit. Finished my snack. Decides to make sort of a halway cross between a seafood chowder and gumbo so I cut up a huge onion and start the stirring process with butter, onions then fish, diced tomatoes, water, corn, okra, heat was gettingto me so I had some water and relaxed while that simmered. Added more water, shrimp and scallops then got more water for me and relaxed while that simmered. A tasty bowl of broth then more water while it simmered some more. Put the lid on and it over flowed. I took the pot off the burner and grabbed the grate with a hot pad. Cleaned up the mess and looked at the grate to see some dark fibers on the grate. Turns out it burned and ruined the hot pad but thankfully not my hand. Cleaned off the fibers, threw away the hot pad, got another cup of broth, still warm so went to sit in bedroom where the AC is... still off, silly me, the apartment is just now getting cool again.

Wow it was a hot one here in northern Il. But we sure do need some strong rains. The Des Plaines river is looking low.
Today was a good day at work. Summer school is so much more laid back and the day goes by so fast. Strange thing, I wore shorts today at work. I have never worn anything that really reveals my legs as they are my "bad" spot. You know, the area that attracks the fat! Even with the weight loss, my ankles still look like "cankles". I did get a complement today at work regarding my legs. Some said they were shapely and were looking good, Funny how we, meaning I, never see them as getting better. I still see the fat legs.
Nancy - congrats on the new car! I want/need/desire a car but mine still runs and it is paid off. Besides, with a new driver on the horizon my older car is perfect to learn with.
Steven - What movie did you end up watching? It was nice and toasty here in my neck of the woods. It was a water day.
Lisa - What kind of MP3 player did you get? Hope you are enjoying your break.
Christine - hope you are enjoying your vacation. Take lots of pictures and post them. This way those of us home can live vicariously through you!!
Randy - your soup/gumbo sounds yummy. To bad that you can't run your microwave and AC at the same time. Hopefully you will stay cool.
