Good Morning,

Happy Birthday, one day early, Steven.

Morgan enjoyed the pool yesterday, while I enjoyed working on a quilt project.More on that later.

Today, a couple of early errands, then home. It  looks like the rain is coming from the west. I am not sure what today will bring, except for laundry and making dinner.

Get out and enjoy this summer weather.

Hugs,
LISA

Good Morning Everyone!

Another typical Monday -- threatening to rain, wshing I still was home.  My day of relaxing at home yesterday was short lived.  I continued to do car research on line and discovered a twin car about 55 miles away with about 3,000 mor miles on it for $3,000 less as a list price.  So Rick and I did a road trip.  Sure enough the cars were identical except this one had black leather interior instead of camel.  Hmmm.  More negotiating power.  I also did some window shopping and found a 2012 RAV 4 and a Kia Sportage for a couple thousand more.  Now it is do I wan a new car or a used car?  Hmmmm.  Decisions, decisions, decisions.  I hate buying cars but this time, I am taking more time and doing more research.  Much better prepared.

Steven,  Happy Birthday!     As I have gotten older I have found that taking the day off is the perfect present.  Enjoy!

Lisa, enjoy your day.  Happy quilting.

Sandy,  enjoy your new horse!  Congrats on more weight loss!

Debbie, good luck on your first day back at school.

Connie, you are doing better each day!

Crystal, you start your second full week of work.  I hope it is going well.

Dawn, I hope your girls are feeling ok.

Randy, you are really adapting to city life.

Christine, I know you are looking forward to your Dells trip.

Everyone have a great day!

Hi everyone!

I am thinking of a new/used car too. I want a Soul and my favorite dealer has one on the lot. It does have 17000 miles on it but my 2001 PT Cruiser has 50,000 and this car is ten years newer. I rarely buy a new car because it is fairly easy to get a used car with one owner low miles and then the depreciation was someone else's.

Deb, in terms of learning to knit--there are lots of excellent videos now on youtube as well as on the website www.jimmybeanswool.com. I would suggest you learn "continental style" because it is so much faster in the long run. I didn't learn that style till I was in my 50's but it is all that I do now.

Take care and stay dry.

Connie

I bought  Kia Soul this morning. It is really cool and ten years newer than my PT Cruiser. I am really smiling!

Back home after my day at work, rushed off to the foot doc to talk about that issue (MRI results from last Monday), drop off the script he wants me on, picked it up after the news on TV and then home again after picking it up to eat dinner.

Now, to the doc visit - I mentioned about 3 weeks ago about an injection into the area that is hurting me and someone here mentioned that they have had cortizone injections before and basically it is not too bad. Well, think again folks - because the injection that is available if the meds do not help for the short term is one that gets injected right into the nerves in the affected area and he has to hit the nerves in order to get the medicine to the affected area. Not a piece of cake in my eyes and yes Dave would need to be with me to hold me down when I am injected. Well - that injection is not going to happen. What I have is a Morton's Neuroma between the 3rd and 4th toes. It is large enough to be removed as that is the protocol for something like this and because of the size it needs to be removed via the bottom of the foot which means off time for a couple of weeks. I am looking at sometime in early October to have this done so I can be up on my feet again for Thanksgiving and the Dells again.

Off to my research and to continue with packing for Saturday.

God evening all,
Well my day back felt good.  It is always nice to have a routine.  Plus when I am home, I tend to graze and that is not good also.
Tomorrw the students will arrive and according to my schedule we will be VERY busy!  Just the way I like it!
I have started tracking my foods again.  My weight is not moving and I need to see where I am making my error.  Again, I think it has to do with the mindless eating when I get bored.  SO, back to sparkpeople.com and listing all I eat.  This will help me to see if I am getting all my protein etc.

Christine- I was wondering if you could give me the name of the vitamins you use.  I know you told me many moons ago, but I do not remember.

To all have a great night!  Take care and have a good sleep!

Shaklee. Shaklee might be more expensive in some people's eyes but they are all natural - no chemicals.
