Sunday Roll Call

Sunday - Yeah! We plan on going to the pool again today like yesterday. We first need to go to the grocery store for a few needs for this week. Not too much as we leave Saturday for the Dells for 9 days. My mouth was hurting a little bit so I am waiting for the Tylenol to kick in and then it is back to bed for a while. Found out at the party last night that one of our neighbors is being foreclosed on and he is moving to north of the Cheddar Curtain. I love his little dog and will miss him. Second slam to him his wife is walking out on him.

What is going on in your world today? Do you have any special plans for the week ahead.

Congrats to CherieQ on her revision date. (see her post)

I have to get quarters and a few more veggies.

Went to Green City Markets, Gene's, Target and http://www.yelp.com/biz/taqueria-amigo-chino-chicago the waitress said it was mexican breakfast. Next time I have to see if they wil make it without the chips.  A wonderful green sauce, onions, queso, sour cream and skirt steak.

Buses are a pain on weekends.  The drivers bunch up in groups of three and four.

Still need quarters, cauliflower, brocolli, salad stuff and okra.

Good Morning to All,

I spent a great day yesterday with the 2 Ms, Monica and Morgan. We went to the Moonlght Store, in Southern, IL for hamburgers, and the fun of doing it.

We also hit a winery, a scrapbooking/craft store, and the Tanger outlet mall in Tusrura (sp).Morgan and I got home here about 9.
Can I say I am exhasted?

Randy, you seem to be finding yourself getting around ok. christine, enjoy the pool today.

Hugs,
LISA

Tuscola. Been to that mall and have also stayed at that Holiday Inn Express in the past while on my way to my sister's house. There is a really neat sandwich shop downtown Tuscola called Flesor's Candy Kitchen. They have a really neat history.  flesorscandy.com

Good morning friends,

We are going out to breakfast with friends this morning and maybe to get groceries. I never know how much energy I will have. Otherwise Kay will go grocery shopping after she takes me home. Since it is hot today I will probably spend the rest of the day in the A/C knitting. This is National Knit in Public week so I should take knitting with me to breakfast--LOL, maybe I will.

One of the things I like about Sunday is reading the paper. I also read the NY Times book review on line and get ideas about books to read. I'm kind of behind in reading because I can't concentrate as well as I used to so it's easier to knit than to read, but I've got some books which are calling to me.

This next week I've got a couple of doc appointments, especially the eye doc. I didn't wear or clean my contacts for six months so I don't want to put them in so I've been wearing an ugly pair of glasses which are at least two prescriptions back and I'm so ready to get contacts again. I haven't worn glasses since I was 17 which was back in the middle of the last century!!

Have a great day folks and keep cool!

Connie

Happy Sunday all!
It is already getting warm out there,  I think it is suppose to be over 90 again here.
Not much going on in this house today.  I start summer school tomorrow and it will be nice to see everyone again.  I have had two weeks off and I am ready for the structure of working.

Christine - Do you and your husband have a pool?  If so how refreshing.  The only pool I have access to this yr is the one at 6 flags.  Just not sure if I want to brave the crowds!  Have fun at the party.  Stay cool!

Randy - sounds like you are doing well in Chicago. I want to get there this summer to catch a play.  My family wants to go to the zoo and other museums.  Have a fun day

Nancy - Sounds like a fun day.  One day, maybe when the gas prices are lower, I will travel more around Il and see some of these places you talk about  The scrapbook store sounds like fun

Connie - I also love to read.  I should start looking at the book review on line. I have reading glasses that I need to wear but I keep forgetting them.  f course I then start wondering why I have
a headache!!  I am so jealous of those that can knit.  I have tried many times and I am all thumbs.  Maybe I will give it another go soon.

Have a great day all!  Stay cool and hydrated!!
Debbie

No on the pool. As Dave says he "does not want to own the elephant, just ride it once in a while". Meaning we do not want to be the maintainer for the toy just use it once in a while. We have thought of certain adult toys like a hot tub, pool, snowmobiles etc in the past and just do not want the cost that goes with it. The public pool is right near my work, less than a 1/2 mile away and an easy walk even in the heat of the day.
