Tuesday Roll Call
Well my first day went well. Everyone is so nice and friendly. This is more like my kind of place to work. I got a nice warm welcome from everyone. It's not the quiet and unfriendliness of the last place I worked. They have free drinks and snacks for employees. Which is nice for some but the last thing I need is free Reese's Peanut Buttercups (my all time favorite candy bar) tempting me every day...but that is what I will have to do. I never worked any where they gave you free drinks and snacks. So yesterday after work I stopped at the grocery store and got apple slices, peanut butter, almonds, and grapes (I like to freeze the grapes). I figure if I want to snack I will snack healthy!!! Maybe this stuff will keep my mouth busy and my tummy full.
Now it's just getting back into the swing of things. Getting used to being a on a schedule again. When you're out of work you can sleep when you are tired and get up when you feel like it.
Nancy- my kitty does the same thing if I'm hurt or when I was crying because I lost my job he would come over and rub up against me like he was trying to console me. Then just lie next to me.
Lisa- I'm glad your daughter's temp place is nice. At least they have a noce place to stay while waiting for things to get fixed.
Well I am up wayyyy to early. I think I will read for a bit before I get ready.
Have a good day everyone....bye,
I find that no matter what day it is, work or not, I still wake up by 6. I think it is called a habit. And, no, I don't ever do an alarm.
I think my chore for today will be to paint the 2 patio tables. The big round ones from the 1950s, that you can put an umbrella on. I decided on a bright red, to go with the grey house.
Crystal, I am happy that you enjoy your new place of employment,
Cristine, you always ave projects going too.
Dawn, I am so glad you are doing better with the injetion.
Nancy, I know that the little furballs think they are our mothers. They want everything to be right.
Debbie, enjoy your summer.
Steven, when are you going to post a picture?
Life is Good,
Hugs,
LISA
The car plan is I take my Texas title, my current licence plate sticker reciept, my emissions test and my drivers license along with the buyer to the Secretary of State office on Elston. I am guessing he also needs to have proof of insurance to transfer title.
It looks like it is going to be a beautiful day here! That will be nice. Get out and enjoy it if you can. I did ok at work yesterday. Surprisingly, all my callers were really nice despite the full moon. Maybe I better watch out for today.

Crystal, I am glad you like you new surroundings at work. That really makes a HUGE difference. I could tell that you were not comfortable in the other place. I am like you and want to enjoy myself at work. Too formal of an atmosphere would do me in. I could do without the temptation of the snacks though. Ugh!
Lisa, it sounds like you found a project already. The color sounds great for a patio table! I love those tables! It will be cute. It is a perfect day to be outside. Enjoy!
Dawn, I am glad you are getting around better. That was a lot of walking at the air show. I did not even think about that with your foot but you managed so you must be doing a LOT better in that department. Hang in there.
Debbie, I am sure you are going to be active this summer as well. But take some time for yourself as well.
Christine, I hope you survived your return to work. That is always such a joy (NOT) after a vacation. That is the worst part of a vacation -- returning and facing reality and seeing what was screwed up while you were away.
I hope everyone has a great day!

Hi everyone!
Up early today to go to the dentist and then to rehab. My daughter is coming to visit from southern IL. She's a teacher so I told her not to come when I was too sick to enjoy her. Now we'll get a couple of days to visit. She will probably freeze up here compared to the weather in Carbondale!
Yesterday I put on some pants I wore in rehab and they almost fell off. I have lost 20 lbs since I have been home. Yeah! During the time I was so sick I wasn't losing because my body was putting its energy into healing but the doc assured me I would lose again when I could move around and that is exactly whats happening. I'm tickled!
Have a lovely day!
Connie

Glad to hear that the new job suits you. I always keep stuff that I can eat in my desk (and SF popsicles in the freezer). That way "no thank you" is easier to day.
I am at lunch and (not) loving every minute of work. Oh well, it is what it is. Maybe something better and more suitable will come along.
I am going to try to get into the garden tonight to pull weeds and see what is happening. I know we have radishes and lettuce coming up.
Gotta get back.......
Everyone have a spectacular day!
