Hello everyone

I am moved and settled!!!  Not without some complications.  I did run out of space in my storage unit and had to get rid of some things but other than that every thing went fine on Friday.  It took all day.  I wasn't done till after 7pm.  Now my arms and legs are sore, I have 3 blisters on my feet and I have 20+ bruises on various places on my body (but only 3-4 really hurt...especially one on my hand where I had couple of chairs fall and I tried to catch them)  Poor Jasper hated the 2 hour drive...I felt so bad for him.  He such an easy going kitty and never hisses or whines...but he was making terrible noises on that ride.  Funny thing is I don't think he hates the carrier I think he hated the movement of the car. Although, he is really enjoying his self now. 

Yesterday, I had a wonderful day (the weather was great too).  Since being out of work I haven't had such a nice, carefree day.  I was treated like a queen!!!  I really am thankful...I have such great friends and family.  I was treated out for breakfast at Cracker Barrel, then we went out shopping (I didn't get anything).  Then we went out for Chipotle for lunch.  Afterward, we met up with some friends and I was treated out to a movie...we saw Snow White and The Huntsman.  I really liked it.  We came home and hung out and ended up watching 2 movies...it was like a slumber party!!!  Like I said it was well needed fun...I haven't gone out and done anything since I lost my job. 

I'm not sure what we are doing today.  I know we are having a BBQ!!!  Of course I start my job tomorrow!!!  Yeah!!!

Happy Sunday. Sounds like you had quite an adventure. My cats never cared for the car either and yes I think it is the movement. I did find in the past that it seemed to be the stop and go of the local traffic and then he would settle down when on the highway.

I have my first cup o' joe brewing  and I will enjoy that. There is nothing like making your own coffee and at the strength you like. Most restaurant coffee to me is too weak. Little later on we will take a spin over to the grocery store for eggs, bread and whatever else jumps out at us. I will check the ad on line first to see what they have. Afterwards I will go out and survey my kingdom (yard) and see how the plants fared while we were gone. I have squirrels that insist on scratching in the dirt of the square foot boxes in the back. We had 1.12" of rain while we were gone (per wunderground.com - which is a great site to check weather from prior days, months or years). My flowers look like they enjoyed the good drink of water from the sky. Other than that not much happening.

Good Morning,

I went shopping too yesterday. I stopped at what Streator calls a farmers market, and got some asparagus, then to the $ General to get some toys for my daughter Annette's cats. Other then cleaning a c few rooms up, I worked on and finished a rug.

This afternoon we will be going up to Yorkvill to take Annette and Rick for dinner, and to see the "new" temporary condo. It is located on the north side of Yorkvill.

Crystal, I am glad that the only damage you had was you. your bruises and sore mussels. Enjoy today, you earned it.

Christine, our garden is doing fine also. I love my potted  flower pots, and mulched bed. So much easier, Our tomatoes and peppers are in bloom. And I caged them yesterday,

Gonna do a twofer this morning if my body gets ready.  We still have the car though the path to selling it is clear or at least looks clear for now.  Parking for Moody Church looked easy enough but I have wanted to go East on the 80 and spot future areas of interest.  So we will do that to Lincoln then down Lincoln to North and walk on this beautiful morning.  May wing it on the way back and try the 72 to Cisero and back up or who knows.

Not much going on here.  I do need to make a grocery list and find coupons.  This summer I am hoping to finally get a coupon system working and functional.  I sooo need to find a way to save $$$!  I buy what I need but with extra kids it never seems enough!  Of course I hate turning kids away at dinner time.  Especially this one boy.  He has been my son's friend since 2nd grade.  Gosh 9 yrs.  This poor kid has been through a nasty divorce.  He has watched his dad choose drugs (pot) and beer over working and being a dad.  Many times his mom has said he wished his dad was more like my husband.  Right now, due to lack of finances, he and his mom are living in two separate areas.  He is living with his uncle in the school district.  He uncles idea of dinner is frozen meals or take out.  So when this young man is here, how can I say NO!  Plus I can still see his little boy eyes looking at me.  Darn me for being a softy!   I can't turn kids away. 
Today I need to get into my garage and clean out the junk that has accumulated in there.  So much junk!!!!!!!  I still have Christmas lights that need to be put away.  I think I will just store them in the garage handy as I will need them soon enough.

Crystal - good luck with your new job tomorrow.  I hope this will be your forever - well at least till you retire.

Christine - I am glad you had a good time in Galena.  Sounds like a wonderful weekend getaway.

Lisa - How do you make a rug?  Please post a picture.  I am sure it is beautiful!

Randy - enjoy your walk around Chicago today.  It is beautiful out there!

Wow, where did the weekend go?  I cant believe it is almost over.  It flew by!

Crystal, I am glad you are moved and settled in.  My cats HATE the car.  The only one so far to not react is Gizmo.  He was Totally silent coming home.  I not sure if that will last.  Just be thankful hte trip is behind you.  It sounds like you are having a great time which is good.  Good luck tomorrow on your first new day. 

Chris, I am glad you had a good time in Galena.  That was a nice get away.  

Lisa, I hope you have a good visit  with Annette & family.  That was a good grandma to buy the cats toys.
