Friday Roll Call
Hello Friday my friend where have you been?
Got my java brewing and then we will go out for Bfast and then take a walk on the nature trail that borders the RR tracks. After that we will go for a tour of a house that Grant stayed at that was his campaign headquarters and where he learned that he won the presidency. After that it is off to Galena Beads and another shop and that is about it. My "dogs" are still hurting so we will ease off on the walking a bit especially on concrete.

Hello everyone
Well this is it...I am almost done moving and it's bitter sweet. I am glad that the stress is almost done but I will soooo miss this place and Amanda. Amanda and I went for breakfast yesterday because she wanted to make sure I ate a good meal...she's so sweet. But she knows how I am...I tend to forget to eat when I am stressed. I am glad I did eat too, because I didn't eat again till almost 8pm.
Oh the moving yesterday went OK. The first hour or two I did everything in the rain. I was soaked to the bone!!! But I told myself I would rather have this than 95 degrees!!!! There were a couple catastrophes!!!! First I didn't make sure the back was closed good enough and it came open while I was driving the uhaul and my dollie flew out the back!!!! I could have caused an accident!!!! When I went back to get it I couldn't find it!!! Someone took it already!!!! Oh well....at least no one was hurt. Then I had a huge jug of laundry detergent fall off the ledge in the uhaul and it literally exploded everywhere!!! What a mess!!! It took me forever to clean up the back of the uhaul. I tell you this...it's clean now!!! Then while I was unloading my uhaul on to a cart 2 guys came by and jus****ched me for awhile...very uncomfortable. Then one guy came over and said "you lost me $10" and I just looked at him and kept loading my cart. He said he bet his friend I couldn't unload the truck all by myself and I did. He said "you're like a man" and I said "Ummm thanks" and he said "I mean you are strong like a man" and I said "well at least I don't think like one...I would have to lose a few IQ points" (I was being mean and rude)....and he didn't like that. So then he said "You must be a lesbian" what!!!!????!!! well if that was supposed to be an insult I have been called much worse and I wanted him to leave and if he didn't was going to get the uhaul people. So I just said "Ya I am so move along..." and he did...thank GOD!!! I tell you here's always some weird stuff going on. I attract weirdos.
So today my arms, legs and butt is sore!!!! So much for being like a man!!!! Hahahaha!!! I will be doing the heavy stuff today with the help of Amanda and Charles and then I have to give the place a good vacuuming. Then I have to drive North. Then I can rest up for a couple of days till I start my first day.
Here's to hoping the day goes by fast and I have the strength to get through it all.

Good Morning,
My first official day of vacation.I am so ready for this break.No real plans for this summer, except to get the dining room painted and to get the carpets cleaned. I know other things will happen. So, on to a 3 month break.
Crystal, Be careful driving that Uhaul up here, take your time.you were smart to handle that guy like you did. BTW, if you are driving the truck, who is bringing your car ????
Our Annette said it is getting annoying. She went for some flour last night, and didn't have any. It went onto her list of replacements.

Nancy, your furbaby family is sounding delightful. I know the cats bring you alot of pleasure.
Christine, I hope today clears up for you. Galena is such a pretty town. We haven't gone there in years. Did I hear you say bead stores???? :)

Lisa- I am not driving the uhaul up. I am storing my stuff down here in a storage locker. Then driving up in my car (which will be packed full of stuff too). Then later when I find an apartment I will have to rent a car drive down (drop off the car) and get a uhaul and bring my stuff back up to my new apartment. I tell you this whole thing is a pain in the butt. I am going to be very carfeul with my money because if I can save enough I will hire someone to move me. It'll be really worth it. I am sooo tired and to do all that in 2 days and go back to work on Monday seems unlikely.
Little disappointed with Galena Beads but did find a few things like charms and seed bead mixes.
Went back to Rustic River and bought some more charms, some seed bead mixes and another large (8MM) agite round stone. For my focal points I like to have semitry (sp?) then the rest of the necklace can be abstract. With the other stones and things I have at home I can make about 2-3 more necklaces. I am trying to make a few custom necklaces as I am going to get another booth at the flea market during Itasca Fest.

Good Friday Morning!
It has been a loooong week. I thought Friday would never get here! I am so glad the week is almost over. I just have to get through today and then freedom for 2 days.
Chris, I am not surprised that your feet our complaining. That sure is a lot of walking that you and Dave did this week. My body would have started complaining a lot earlier.
Crystal, I am glad you got your boxes moved yesterday. I am amazed at the weirdos that you seem to attract. I loved your response. Your castrophies I could have done without and I am sure you could have as well. Glad they were repairable.
Not much happening here. Just wishing the day was over.

Walked more today and I am a glutton for punishment. At least I have Sunday hopefully to rest before work next week. Oh, I forgot when we get home tomorrow we walk across town to one of my Sgt's. daughter's graduation party. Oh, I forgot that the garden will need attention on Sunday.

Good morning all,
Today I am playing "bag lady" for my daughter and her friends at Six Flags. The 8th grade class has a field trip there every year and this is her turn!
Since we have season passes, I volunteered to go, read a book and watch their belongings. I can understand not wanting to leave their bags etc in the cubbies as they ride the rides. Plus now some of the larger rides, charge $1.00 to store the bags in order to ride the rides. This is where mom comes in. Besides, I recently bought the book "Fifty Shades of Grey" on ibooks. So guess what I will be doing????
Tonight my hubby and I are getting together with a couple of other couples at a resturaunt in McHenry called the Gambler. Suppose to have great cheap burgers and beer. I will have half of a cheap burger and water!!
Would love to have a beer but the carbonation would not be good.
Christine - Galena sounds like a fun place. One day I will have to get there with my family
Crystal - I am so impressed with all you are doing. You do have a way with the strange people. You should write a book.
Lisa - enjoy your break. I will have been off 1 week tomorrow. One the 11th I start summer school.
Nancy - Enjoy your day even if you are at work. Glad your cats are all getting along. I would love to add an additional cat but not sure how my current cat and 2 dogs would fair. How is that cat litter box you bought doing? Was it the washing one I see on tv?
