Rainy Thursday for us today. The rain is supposed to stop for a while until after midday. We knew it was coming and have planned accordingly with some inside things. One museum and a tour of the oldest stone structure in the state of IL - the Dowling House. Then 2 beading stores for me and a couple others.  Dave says he is going to the VFW.  &

We were both pooped last night after walking close to 9+ miles. I forgot to take the Fitbit with at dinner and we walked again after that.

What is happening in your world?

Later

Hello everyone

Well today is the first day of moving.  I am moving a ton of stuff today on my own...it will be a pain with the rain.  But I will have to ignore the rain and keep moving.  At least tomorrow seems to be clear and that's when I will be moving the furniture.  I don't want that stuff wet.  I have a huge plastic drop cloth I can throw over everything as we move it ....if it does rain.

So I will enjoy my last couple of hours of relaxation and then I will be hard at work.  It's actually a relief.  I can't stand living in this state of limbo.  That is why when I do move somewhere new I always unpack and I'm out of boxes within a day or two.  I can't live like this anymore.

Christine...you sound like you are enjoying yourself...I'll switch place with you!!!

Gotta get going...see you all later.

You seem to have everything planned out. I at this point in our lives cannot even fantom moving. We have so much crap. That is why I was purging in the basement last winter. We still have a whole mess of junk to go. Thank God for the junk scrappers on garbage day that takes all the scrap metal.

Sorry, no switchy pooh for us and U.

Good Morning,

No rain here yet, just gray.

I agree with you Christine. After 35+ years here, I wouldn't want to move either. To much stuff.

Crystal, good luck with your moving.

Today would of been my Dads 96th birthday. He has bween gone since 1990.

Today is also my last work day of this work year.I am so looking forward to the summer.

Gotta run,

Life is Good,

Hugs, LISA

We seem to have boxes forever and both of us could likely use some kind of professional helper but do not know if that come packaged as an organizer or a psychiatrist or if something else will actually motivate me to at least pair down on my sort of five different lives.  BBQ man, mobility device repairman, looking for work man, disabled recovering weight loss man and the rest of me man.  Maybe I am really a need a job and some garage space man.

Randy

So you have been forgiven?

Some of my boxes over the years has turned into plastic bins and I sometimes think they are just as bad as cardboard boxes. Just another receptical for junk.

Good Morning Everyone!

I am at work, easing in to my morning.  I love the first hour.  Very few calls and that allows for catching up on everything and waking up.  I am eating breakfast of vanilla yogurt and fresh strawberries -- yum!  It hasn't started to rain here yet but the sky looks like it will start any minute.  It is really cool outside.  Such a change from 2 ays ago.

Chris, it sounds like you are having a wonderful time.  Would love to be there instead of sitting behind a computer at a desk.  Enjoy!

Crystal, good luck moving today.  Be careful and dont injure yourself!   We dont want you on the disabled list for your new job.  I have to agree, I cant stand living out of boxes either.  That is horrible.  I need to have things settled as soon as possible too.

Debbie, glad you enjoyed your movie.

Lisa, last day of work for 3 months!    I hope it is hassle free and that all you have to do is talk to your coworkers and have fun.

Dawn, where are you??  Hope all is well with you.

Everyone have a great day!

I love that first hour of the morning also. For me I am the only one there and can "talk" to myself - out loud, TEEHEE.

Good morning all,
Happy May 31st!  I can not believe it is the last day of May and I am sitting under 2 blankets wearing jeans and a sweatshirt!  I am freezing!!  Oh well, much prefer being cold vs over hot!  As I say, I can always layer, there is just so much clothing I can take off!
Today I am getting a much needed haircut and de-gray!  I hate the gray.  I am not ready to face my true age!
This morning my hubby and I took our girl to breakfast before school.  This is her last full day as an 8th grader!  This was a nice treat for her.
I had a pleasant surprise this morning!  I received an extra paycheck!!!I was paid for the days I had to sub for one of my teaching assistants!  For every day past 14 days of non subs, I get sub pay!  This morning I was blessed with a nice little gift!  I see a new vacuum in my near future!  I am thinking of getting the Shark Vacuum.  Anyone have any experience with the Shark?
Well all have a great day! Stay warm!
Debbie

I do not have a Shark for my regular vac but have a Dyson and feel it is well worth the extra dollars. It has fantastic suction even when using the hose and attachments. We do have a small handheld Shark and it is real noisy. Look into if any vacuum that you consider needs any type of filters as the filters can get pricy to buy. The Dyson and I think the Red Devil both do not have any filters Mine has an enclosed Heppa filter. My Dyson is easy to empty and take apart for cleaning of the container. Mine also has a button that I can turn the brush off for when using on wood floors. I will say that my Dyson is loud but not as bad as our shop vac.
