Itching post panni

 I had a panni amd hernia repair last week and cannot stop itching all over my torso. DId this happen to anyone? I am not on any pain meds so that cannot be the cause-any suggestions before I am skinlesss? I have cut all my nails.

It sounds like you are having an allergic reaction to a med or something else from the surgery or PO. I would call Dr Jimmy and tell the service what is going on. Do not be miserable.

 Thanks Christine - I did that and they gave me some suggestions. They said it was probably from the solution they put on my skin preop. I am not taking any pain meds or antibiotics. And even though I have taken a few showers I guess it is still an irritant. I would have never guessed that one.

Like you were told it could be the prep. Did they suggest Benedryl? Keep in mind that even if you have stopped taking pain or other meds you can still react to them because it does not get out of your system that fast. I took an antibiotic for a couple days and had a horrible reaction to it.
