Good morning Christine and the rest of Illinois!

I have PT this morning so going in to work later today.  Will continue to fill out applications online this morning.

The community garden IS my garden.  I do not have room on my property for a real garden.  I just have herbs and hot peppers along the garage.   A few years ago, a neighbor had his father living with him and the father made a HUGE garden that I always envied.  Long story made short.....this gentleman died a month or so ago and his son offered the garden space to us if we wanted to use it.  Three (maybe more) of the neighbor families are going to share.  Andy tilled it up and we each bought some plants and seeds and put them in.  We will all weed and water and in the end, share the proceeds.

Wishing Crystal best of luck with this and other interveiws.

Glad to hear that Annette and her family are taken care of, but it is still hard to lose "things".

We are taking my aunt out to dinner tonight as she has decided to move to Kentucky with another niece and is leaving tomorrow.  Then tomorrow is Riley's kindergarten graduation.  I don't really "like" the idea, but we will still attend since she is really excited.

Everyone have a wonderful day!

Tell someone that you love them!

What a nice thing for your neighbor to do with the garden. That is one of the neat things about small towns.

Happy Hump day Everyone!

For me it is Friday!    As of 3:30 pm I am off until Tuesday!  I am psyched!  It does look like it will be a warm holiday though.

Rick stained my bear that I bought at the animal auction yesterday.  It looks great!  I am really excited.  We wanted to make sure it was totally dried out before staining it.  I cant wait to see it out in front of my house.  I have wanted a carved wood bear for years!

Crystal, I missed your postings about your day yesterday.  I hope it went well.

Lisa, my prayers are with you and Annette and family.  I cant get that situation out of my mind so I know you must be worrying terribly.

Dawn, hang in there.  I hope you can find different employment.

Georgie, I know you are looking forward to time with Chloe this weekend.

Randy, how is the moving coming?

Chris, I hope you have a quiet week with the PD.  I know things can get exciting over the holidays.

Stephen, I hope you get some time off to celebrate the holidays.

Everyone have a great day!

Lisa

I am sure it is a HUGE relief for Annette and family to realize that they have a new "home", even if it is only temporary.  That takes some of the uncertainty away.  It sounds like you have a busy weekend planned.  Enjoy!

Hello everyone

I did have a good day yesterday.  I have a good feeling about the job.  The interview went well...we even ended up talking about Harry Potter...hahaha.  Well she asked me what I do to relax...and I told her about my recent obsession.  Turns out she's a huge fan also.  I also went to see my old friends at my old job.  They were very surprised to see me.  I just feel like I will get this job.

I did go on the interview today.  I'm not going to be dumb and not go.  Even though I feel like I got the job.  I saw my old boss yesterday too and she was surprised to see I was willing to move back up there.  When I got home I had an email from her.  She has a colleague that is looking for someone in their accounting department and she took the liberty of forwarding him my resume.  He already contacted me and said he is interested in talking to me.  How about that!!!  Then of course I will need a place to stay while I'm finding a new apartment.  Which I already have lined up but do you know 3 of my friends offered me a place to stay...how nice of them.  when it comes to friends I am very rich!!!

Well I have no more plans for the rest of the day.  So I think I will relax...I was tired from all of the running around yesterday.

Thanks for all the prayers...keep them coming.

Lisa-  I am so happy that no one was hurt.  I know it's really easy for people to say "well at least no one was hurt"...but there is still a mourning of losing all of your belongings.  Especially if they were sentimental.  I have a fireproof lockbox and do you know the only things I keep in there are my CDs and negatives with my pictures that I have had developed over the years.  I figured if my picture were ever destroyed in a fire I still have these locked up in a safe....I'm weird  know.

Randy...I see on Facebook you are definitely getting out there and exploring your new neighborhood.

See you all later.

Good Evening All!

Instead of cyberstalking I thought I would actually post something.  I am now the mother of a high school freshman.  Morgan finished 8th grade with a field trip to Six Flags  in St. Louis.  Our school district does not do graduations for 8th grades.  I am okay with that.  I kinda feel that is finishing school is part of their jobs and it something that kids have to do.  She also turned 14 this week so on Sunday we will be having a birthday and graduation party for her.  The family is going in and we are all getting her a laptop for a combined graduation/birthday gift.  She is a great kid - when she found out about Annette's fire she told me not spend money on the laptop and to give the money to Aunt (Annette) because she needed it more than she needed a laptop.

Annette is having fun replacing her clothes.  She is shopping in stores she never shopped at before.

I also have a garden.  We planted tomatoes, green peppers, bananna peppers, califlower and brocolli.  I have some sweet corn seeds that I am going to plant when I can find a place for them.

Hope everyone has been doing good.
