Saturday Roll Call
Revision on 04/19/13
Good Morning.
Another Sunshiny day. Everything is looking so fresh and summery.
I have no real plans for today. Just clean up the rec room, since I didn't get it done yesterday. I may run out to Walmart again this morning. I was there yesterday, got 2 bags full of stuff and forgot to get the stripper and paint that was on the top of my list.
Dawn, it seems that others can feel the tension at your office too.
Crystal, fingers are crossed that this will be the last week of unemployment for you.
Christine and Nancy, what kind of weekend are you going to have? Steven and Randy too?
Heidi, where are you??
Hugs, LISA

Hey IL
I have my garden club P/U today. After dropping that back at the house we will head out to SW Elgin to a friend's alpaca farm for Shearfest. She puts on a demo of shearing the wool, carding it and other aspects of alpaca farm life. Then it is up Randall Rd to Woodman's in Carpentersville, stop at Home Depot and JoAnn along the way. I am also going to show Dave where I drop off the squads for equipment when I jockey them up. On the way home I will show Dave where a small plane crashed a couple of weeks ago near Lake in the Hills airport, then home sweet home. We have a spaghetti dinner at the Lutheran Church this evening and then a 3 year old party next door. Jon is such a cutie. He had me making sand castles with him last night in his new sand box.

Hello everyone
Well today is the HOT day. It will be 91 and no AC. Yesterday was a little warm but nothing unbearable. Today I think will be a little uncomfortable.
Well next week I have 2 interviews and a possibility od a 3rd one. An old friend called me up out of the blue yesterday to tell me that there is a position opening up where she works. She is going to forward my resume to her boss and she is coaching me on what the company looks for in employees. I have the inside track on this job. I have a good feeling about this job. The money is good too...it's more than I ever made. The company is laid back and you don't have to dress up (so I can go to work in jeans). The only draw back is I would have to move back up north. But can I really turn this down...nope. I always complain about working (and I will again I'm sure) but having all of this time off is just not enjoyable when I'm so broke. It's boring. All I can do is surf the internet, read, watch TV, walk...this is all great but I'm tired of it.
Randy...I hope you are getting settled in now.
See you later all.

Good morning everyone
I am going yo get my flowers today and get them planted. For all you green thumbers, I have a question... I have those lillies you see everywhere and rather than buy more can Idivide them and trasplant part where I want them? They have really multiplied but don' know if I can do it now or have to wait until fall. And probably the dumber question, HOW do I do it without killing the plants!
Dawn I surely hope you can find a nice, new job. Yours sounds ptetty awful! Crystal, congrats on the interviews. May you get just the one you want!
Chris, you have a busy day coming. Lisa, hope you have a relaxing day. Is there a walmart in streator or do you go elsewhere?
Nancy, hope all is good with you and Randy, hope your moving project is going well.
Everyone have a wonderful weekend!

I am going to guess that you are referring to Day Lillies. Yes, you can divide or move them at just about any time during the growing season. You might disrupt the flowering on them but that is minor. I took all of mine out years ago as they are to me a weed and will take over any area that they are put in. Just when you think they are all gone they pop up somewhere else because the root area can grow just about anywhere. When you dig down you might cut through the root growth but what you come up with will more than likely still grow because the eye that grows is along the root area below the dirt. If you cut through the root of part of a plant you more than likely will not kill it as you can see that they take over an area real fast.

I have divided my lillies many times. In fact they thrive better when divided. Get a spade and just insert in directly into the center of the plant cutting it into two pieces. Then you can dig it up, replant 1/2 amd take the other half an d plant it elsewhere. I need to do that with some lillies. It does not hurt them but helps them. Just remember to keep watering them, especially in the heat. Also you may want to throw on some plant food as well.

Hello Everyone!
I am not sure where the last 2 days have gone but they sure have flown by. Today I spent a lot of time online looking at cat items and ordering a new fangled litter box that actually scoops AND cleans the litter and sanitizes it. It has rave reviews. Pretty pricy but if I never have to scoop litter again, well worth it.
Rick and I were going to go out to dinner tonight but I cant find the Red Lobster gift card that I won.
I am sure it will show up but it is "lost" right now. Ugh!
Lisa, I am glad you like your picture! It is worth the cost! I also warned you about stripping
Your conscious must be trying to protect you.
Chris, your day sounds like fun! I would love to watch alpaca's.
Crystal, if it gets too hot, ride on over to a store and browse. There is AC there. I used to do that. So sorry that it is so hot. YOU will finde the right job.
Dawn, I feel so badly about your work situation. I hope you find something else. They do not deserve you!
Randy, good luck moving!
