Happy Mother's Day to all Mothers.

It doesn't matter what kind of Mother you are, being to your kids, stepkids, adopted or even if you are mother to furbabies. It is your day, enjoy it.

My plans for today are to fold a load of laundry, maybe make a pot of coffee, and relax until Monica, Scott and Morgan come. The guys will then go get KFC.

My week of running is over. Nothing on the agenda this week except work and dinner out a couple of nights.

We had a good time at Annettes last night. It is always fun with them.

Have a great day,

Hugs,
LISA

We found a place in Portage and are waiting for our app to be accepted.  Monday I think I will be smoking two large bridkets.  Major projevt right now is getting two chest freezers down to one and having all the meat from both of them cooked.  We will be cooking seafood gumbo, hamburger patties and chicken thighs today.

Please pray for God's hand and his plans to be ours.  I really like this place though many would not.  It is right on Irving Park just a block west of ****ro and built in the 30s.  Apartment is on the second floor but the high ceilings on the first had us thinking we had walked up to the third but there are landings.  One small ancient elevator may not work on a given day.  We have already moved almost all nonn essentials from the bedroom and hall closet to storage.  Need to pack up all non essential books, kitchen stuff and seperate out more big clothes though I still wear some of the shirts and jackets.

Hello everyone

Happy Mother's Day to all.  One nice thing is for the first time in many years I will be able to spend it with Amanda.  The last few years Amanda was here in Champaign and I was in Oswego.  After she is done with work she is taking me out for dinner!!!  Yeah!!!

I started reading Harry Potter.  I had the books for a long time but just never got around to reading them.  So far I like the book.  When I'm done I'm going to the library and get the movie.  I can't wait.  I guess there's some things I can do with my new found extra time.

Talk about extra time...I found an Overeaters Anonymous meeting close by here (close enough I can ride my bike) and figured while I am out of work I can work on making myself better.  So tomorrow is my first meeting...I'm a little nervous.

I am going to get outside and weed.  Even though I can't afford to plant anything now...no reason to let the weeds go nuts.  Plus there's a chance I will get a job and be able to plant flowers later.  This is no fun.  I couldn't wait to have a garden and now I can't afford one...BOO!!!!

I hope you all have a great day...spend it with a loved one.  See ya later

                    HAPPY MOM'S DAY LADIES

I am just about ready to go outside to work in the yard. We have the insurance adjuster coming tomorrow to take outside pics for the new homeowner's insurance and I want everything looking good. Got the majority of my flowers in yesterday.

I have burgers defrosting for din din today. That is about it in a nutshell. Randy, that is great news about the prospective move.

Happy Mothers Day to all you Moms!

Today is a laid back day for me.  Rick and I started to go out to eat at te Olive Garden last night but the table wait was 1 1/2 hours so we said no.  After getting back in the car, we decided to go to another Italian place in the middle of nowhere that is called Mona's.  It is in this little town and serves authentic food.  It is to die for.  You never can eat your full meal and always leave with leftovers.  It was so yummy. I almost shot Rick when he ordered a beef steak.  Then on the way home, I found out why,  he could not decide which Italian dish to order as they all sounded too good!    He assured me that when we go back, he WILL order Italian.  We might even take his son as he would love it!

Today, I am being ignored by my furbabies.  So much for mother's day.

Lisa, glad you had a good time yesterday and enjoy your family tonight.

Randy, so glad you have found a new place to live.  Fingers crossed that all goes well.

Chris, happy gardening.  Dont work too hard.

Crystal, I do not  forsee you being unemployeed for long.  I have a good feeling about you finding a job fast.  Think positive!  Seeds are inexpensive.

Have a great day!

Hey Nancy, Hadn't thought about Mona's in years. Used to have a friend who lived in Magnolia and we would eat there. Yummy is right. As I recall there was also another restaurant called Capones..not sure spelled right. Are they still open?

Georgie, Maybe you me and Nancy could meet some evening in Toluca for Mona's. It has to be one of the best Italian places around.

That would be fun!  We'll have to see what we can work out.  I get off work at 4 and am near Route 17, which would take me over about to where I would need to be...then I'd need directions!! LOL.  I bet it has been.....at least 15 years since I've been there.  My friend who lived over that way moved!
