It may not be starting out pretty, it is raining, but it is the start of the weekend none the less. Not much happening here for me other than being tired. I could have stayed in bed this morning. But what else is new?

Good Morning on this 1st Friday of May. I am using blue ink today, since it is not going to be a great day.
I did go and get my flowers and veggie plants yesterday. Plans were to plant them this morning. Not. We are getting rain, and it looks like it will be around for some time.
Crystal, did you hear anything yet?
I had to preform a funeral yesterday. My good friend, my Magic Bullet died. It was a staple in my life for over 5 years. I have not decided wheather I am going to replace her or not.I do have a regulas size blender.

so sorry to hear about your magic bullet. I would want to die without some of my favorite appliances. Sad to say, I never really use my bullet. Maybe you would have a good home for it?

Well I haven't heard anything yet. I keep thinking the longer it takes the worse my chances are. I know they wanted to a person to start quickly. I was thinking it was going to be next Monday if they hired me...we will see.
But my I have another opportunity. Today I have a phone interview with Groupon. I know it's a great company to work for, with great benefits. The only bad thing is that it would mean I would be moving to Chicago. Not the Chicago area but Chicago. I have thought about it and I would probably move to the Old Town or Wicker Park area. But of course I could change my mind as to what neighborhood I would move to. I can't believe they even contacted me. I figured they get so many applications that mine would get lost in the shuffle.
Other than that I have nothing going on. I swear this whole thing is a big waiting game. I'm not very good with waiting. I am impaitient.

Having been on both side of this process, I can say from the other side, sometimes, as we are hiring we have the best intentions and then something comes along that HAS to be done, and the process gets moved aside a little bit! Most people conducting interviews are also doing their "regular" jobs and sometimes things just happen that bring you to a grinding halt! Did they give you a time they would contact you by?
Whenever I interview people, I always tell them, I will get back to you by "date" to at least give you an update of where things are. That way they know not to expect an answer the next day and don't panic!
Groupon sounds awesome, but I feel bad since you worked so hard to move down to Champaign. Good luck. Still keeping you in my prayers for the BEST job for you!!

She didn't give me an exact date of when she would get to me. she said they were anxious to get the position filled and she would contact me regardless of whether they hired me or not. During the interview she spent a lot time "selling" me on what a good place it is to work. I was thinking that was a good sign.
On a positive note, I know she contacted 2 of my references already. I know they said good things about me. I was feeling very optimistic....but as time goes by I am getting more worried.
I know the whole Groupon thing. I am torn. I would love to work for a company that is supposed to be great to work for. But I would hate to relocate again and move away from Amanda. But in this economy could I really turn down a job offer....I don't think so.
