Thursday Roll Call

Fast fly by for me. I have lunch for Admin Assistant Day with the DuPage Police Chief's at Ditka's in Oakbrook today. Something I look forward to every year. Mike is always there and speaks to the group also.

Hello everyone

I am still searching....and searching.  I am now signed up on Linkedin.com.  Reconnecting with people from my old jobs.  Also there is a subsidiary of the company I used to work for here in Champaign.  I connected with someone that is the Chief Operations Officer there...too bad there was nothing open right now.  I left the company in good terms and my old boss and other mangers and executives have good things to say about me.  Soooo....if it happens a job opens up...I think I can get in.   Not to mention if I get back in with in a year of leaving the company....I retain my seniority.  Which means I am back up to 4 weeks vacation!!! 

So this is one more thing I was working on. 

Last night I had a dream that my grandpa was alive and I found a bunch of candy in his bedroom....tons of candy.  All my favorites.  It was a nice dream...I wonder what it means.

I have dreams all the time about my mom and dad, in laws, past experiences with other family members, many of them dead and with pleasant memories of all. I think sometimes it has a lot to do past memories and something that triggers or parallels what is going on with us currently.

I found out today that my ins. is approved but when I called the Dr. office to make sure they had the sign off from my cardio and pulm that the cardiologist had not sent in his. I called them and they said they'd fax it over right away when the doctor is done seeing patients and can sign off on it. I hope it happens today so I can schedule an appointment!

It wasa good day for me today.  We were mildly busy at work so it went by fast.  I am glad of that.  Tonight, I am hibernating and watching TV.  Tomorrow is Friday -- Yeah!

Chris, I hope you enjoy your lunch.  It sounds nice.  

Crystal, it is always good to keep connections at jobs.  I still am in close contact with my former co workers.  You never know when that pays off.  Maybe your dream means that you will have your choice of many outstanding jobs!  That would be great!  
Heidi, Congratulations!    You have made it though one of the hardest parts of this journey -- getting all those pretest behind you and getting approval from your insurance company.  The rest of the time will fly by. 

Lisa should be enjoying her cruise.  I havent heard of any bad things happening to cruise ships this week.  Hope it was a great voyage. 

Dawn,  I hope your leg is continuing to not swell as much.  Try to keep off of it as much as possible.  I know that once you get your freedom back, it is hard to stay still.

Yes, today was great. I met Bob Thomas, former Bear kicker. Great man of faith and a supreme court justice. He was so down to earth. He had several stories to tell about his career with the Bears and with his current employment, naturally with the law enforcement side of things. We did not get to hear the Coach as we have done so in the past as we heard that he was preparing for an ESPN show.
