I would love to hear all about your experience at Good Samaritan.....I have had surgery there....but its been awhile..
do they have a separate bariatric floor?....were you able to get a private room?...how were the nursing staff?
also....anyone who had drs. rosen and mikhail....how long of a hospital stay did you have...any tips or heads up you can offer?
thanks!!!!

No seperate floor but if the hospital has done any remodeling for any of the surgical floors or other services you might get a private room. Take for example - Alexian Brothers (ABMC) in EGV has a new wing for different patient floors and they have private rooms for that addition BUT I was in the older portion of ABMC (in Jan '12) and it had 2 patient rooms. Most hospitals will be required to have private rooms because of HIPPA laws but I do not know what the time line is.
I will tell you that Dr R is very demanding of the nursing staff and for what he wants for his patients.
Have you called the hospital itself and asked if the floor you might be on has private rooms?
I was in 3 days for my open RNY but that was coming up on 9 years ago.
