Hello everyone

I have plans today.  I am going to a job fair and then I am meeting Amanda and we are going to go walking around Hessel Park.  it's a nice area.

I'm not feeling good this morning.  I am trying to be smart.  I am going to be without health insurance...therefore no migraine meds.  I know just quitting your meds cold turkey, you are just begging for major migraines.  So in anticipation of not having my meds....I have started to taper them off slowly.  So this morning I woke up feeling a bit dizzy.  So I'm sitting here eating and drinking some water.  Hopefully the dizziness will pass.  I have to count myself lucky.  At least that's the only medicine I have to worry about.  A couple of years ago I would have had to worry about BP medicine, medicine to regulate my female problems, I also had high cholesterol...thank god for losing weight.  Which by the way...this whole thing has made me lose more weight.  Stress always makes me lose weight.  Some people stress eat...I stress starve.  I always lose weight during times of stress...so I guess I can look at the bright side (I will call this the jobless diet).

My old boss called me yesterday....she was great.  She is so genuinely concerned and she is sending me great references.  She is also sending me exact numbers of how I improved the department.  She said that will impress potential employers.  She reminded me what a great employee I was and she said that she can count on one hand how many people she considers to be the best people she ever hired and she said I was one of them.  She made me feel better about myself.

I also wanted thank you guys for all of your concern.  You are all so great.  This board is like none other on here.

Nancy- I am sorry about your kitty.  I hope he improves soon.
Dawn-  I am sorry about your son.  I know it's hard to sit back and watch someone you love make mistakes you know will impact his life.

Well I will get going.  Have a good day.

So happy that you checked in. I am sure that you have seen the info that others have suggested to you. Love that kittie of yours. It is so amazing how soothing the touch of an animal is.

Good Morning Everyone!

I am not sure what happened to my post yesterday.  I see it is not there.  I wrote one.

It appears that it will be a rainy day here but the weatherman did say it would be in the 70's so I will take it.  No special plans for today.  Just work.

Tigger is all doped up with his meds.  He tried to jump into a window and instead crashed into a wall.  And then he tried to jump from the window to the bed and landed on the floor.   A call to the vet had us reducing his meds by cutting them in half and giving them to him twice a day instead of once a day.  That appears to be working.  As to whether they are solving the problem or not, I cant tell yet.  Beemer is back to being aggressive.  He has gotten used to his meds and is no longer sleeping beauty.  He got groomed again yesterday and looks 100% better.  Fluffer is scheduled for a bath and a good brushing next week.

Sam, I hope you have water by now.  I cant imagine going without!

Dawn, positive vibes and hugs going out to you!

Chris, have a great day!

Crystal, I am glad to see you posting.  It is encouraging to see you starting to have a plan.  That is great!  Your job now, is looking for a job!  So get working!  Good luck at the job fair!  By the way, I do not want to follow your new weight loss diet.

Heidi, this surgery made me realize just how much our lives revolve around food.  What surprised me the most, is that it does not bother me to watch others eat.  I really dont have any desire for excessively sweet food.  Now carbs are another thing.    Like Lisa said, there is usually something I can eat and if no****er is fine.

Everyone have a great day!  For all you lurkers, come out and play with us!

Do you drink liquids with Aspertame? (sp?) My SIL had a horrible reaction with it and feeling sleepy and could hardly function.

Not sure that I would want to live under cir****tances that dictated having a pump and (I am guessing) out of an area that has city water.

Not for me but then again I am older and spoiled.

Good Morning,

I was unable to post yesterday, I was on the Ipad, and OH, but it won't let me post

Heidi, are you sure that its the Nut that sends things in for insurance? I would think your Dr. office has an insurance person that handles that. Check with them.

Crystal, you know we are always behind you. You will get a new job, and a better one.

Nancy, it is blah today. I am hoping it will be sunny when we get to Miami tomorrow. My first thing will be getting some Vit. D.

I did see Dr. G yesterday, he removed some of the saline in the band. I then  had a spinach salad, and a cup of soup for lunch. No, I only ate 1/2, and finished it for dinner. It did stay down.
He also said the reason he reccommended the Bi-pass, rather then the sleeve, was 2 fold. I was diabetic before the lapband, and for former sufferers, the RNY is better then the sleeve. Also, it is easier on people over 60.

We are leaving in the morning for our cruise, so I problaby will not be in contac next week. I will see you all when I get back.

Hugs,
LISA
