Wednesday Roll Call

I know that Nancy, Lisa, Chri, Crystal and Dawn are up and out there in dark city so what will fill your day today though I know for most it is work.

Enquiring (nosey) minds want to know how cast, bands, RNY is going.

I had to stay home from church sunday because I had my protein and then an hour later two scramnled eggs decided to stop in the pouch and make a ruckus.

Volunteering in Harvest at Willow contacts with Realtors to see if I can find one with an attitude that matches ours and knowledge of the areas we feel good about.

So you have been forgiven?

Hello everyone

Yes I'm up...but I'm not happy about it (pouting)!!!!

My band is doing well.  I have always had a cast iron stomach...meaning I never had things upset my stomach.  Indegestion, stuff like that has never been a problem.  I guess that traslates to my band life.  Although, I do have issues once in awhile (it's usually operator error).  I just hope this continues.

Well today is nothing special...same as usual.

Dawn- You are so lucky I would love to work from home and not go in.  That would be wonderful.  Good for you!!!

Christine- I hope your computer is up and running today.

Well I better get going.  I hear it's going to be nicer outside today.  Have a good day...bye

The computer is up but the email is not working on my PC. We have 2 servers up and running at the moment because they are migrating the email to the new one this weekend so Outlook does not know which server to go to for the exchange.

PS I can go to another 'puter in the office and access my email.

Good morning Randy and the rest of Illinois!

I am up and after a shower going to tackle a bit of work from home.  I started a little last night and worked for about an hour.  I am thanking God and my lucky stars that my boss is doing this.  I am not sure what his angle is, but I will take it.

I got my new (pink) cast last night and it feels SO much better!  It is so small and skinny compared to the splint.  The X-rays showed that things are looking well.  The incision is ugly and I haved dubbed it my "Frankenankle".  I took pics and will post to facebook for those interested.  I still have to keep it as elevated as possible and driving is only to be done "safely".  I guess that means that if I can get someone to drive me, I should.

My RNY is doing well and working as it should.  One thing about this broken bone.........I am glad that I supplement as I do.  After this long out, if I had not been keeping up with my vitamins (especially the calcium and D) the brake might have been a "shatter" and much, much worse.  The doc wants me to have another bone density scan, but the one last year showed "normal".

Everyone have a wonderful day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Dawn, think of it - your boss does not have a grunt to do the work right now as all the "family" is lounging at "work".

Good morning friends. I am still alive, if you wondered! I don't have a lot to report. Christine I just got the message you left for me back in January. I do hope Janet is doing better. I was in the hospital having rotator cuff surgery. I had some major damage and could not use the arm for much. Doing much better now. I even returned back to work 5 weeks after surgery, against the doctors wishes. He said I should not drive the rest of the school year. I needed the money, so I convienced him I could do it. I have done well, and since I refused to let this get the best of me, I did not have to ppay for therapy, I did my own plan at home! Saved a lot of money that way.

I am hoping to get up to Downers Grove soon. I think I need a small fill taken out again. Noticed latly I get heart burn too often. Nothing coming up or anything like that just the pain. I want to make sure first it's not just something I ate, like a lelly bean stuck there.. I am bad about eating some of the things I should not. I am also going back to basics to make myself aware  of what and how much I am eating. I am really learning how I got lazy about following the rules. I have even lost some weight again. The heart burn isn't as bad either. I do believe my eyes were allowing more like 2 cups of food over 1/2... So I call this "band" user error.

I really need to come on here more, I know this..I am so wrapped up in my grand kids and kids that I forget about my self...

Hope everyone is doing well, I will try to report back soon! Best of luck!

Karen

Karen, we are planning on being at group next week; maybe we can connect.

Have you considered a revision?

I have considered it, but I can not afford it, trucking isn't what it use to be, and our deductible is really out there. Dr R said last time I was up there that he thought it was time. I think in  a way the thought scares me some. I don't know if I can come up next week, I have only been back to work for 3 weeks and money is tight at the moment. I have really been watching the measurements on food and I have to admit no issues today. So I may have figured out I am my own enemy. If I think it needs to be looked at by Dr R I will find a way to come up next week since we are on spring break as of today through April 9Th.  I would like to see ya all, I just may try and put it off though till July. That is if I stay feel as good as  I do today.
Glad to hear you are getting aorund so well, with your boot! You and Dave take care!

Afternoon Everyone!  It is a beautiful day outside.  I had lunch outside today and enjoyed the sun.  Nothing special going on.  Rick came back last night so it was good to see him again.

Yesterday I decided to embarass myself at work.  I was adjusting my chair (still cant get the darn thing right) and it went over backwards and I went with it.    Needless to say I was pretty embarassed and then they made me go to the hospital to be checked.  I am fine other than a bruised ego.

Dawn, I am so glad you are in a new and improved cast!

Randy, my RNY is cast iron.  The only thing it does not like is greasy foods.  I wi**** was more picky as it allows me to overeat.

Christine, I hope the computer is up and running today.

Karen, good to see you again.  Hope your shoulder is 100 % healed now.

Crystal, did you get your birdfeeder up?

Lisa, are you still visiting area towns?

Everyone have a great day!

Nancy it's not 100% yet. I had it done Jan 25Th. They told me to expect 4 months to be fully pain free and a full year for complete healing. I was lucky to be able to convince the Dr to allow me to return to work so soon. He told me from the beginning I would not go back this school year, I proved him and the therapist wrong. I have had 2 therapy sessions. I am a fighter and I figure I will stop when I die.

My motto is if I am breathing them I am doing!

Thanks for asking and it is appreciated

Karen
