Saturday Roll Call

Happy Saturday. I just looked at the weather forecast for today on wunderground.com and it says it is to be 80 in my neck of the woods, priceless.

I could not sleep because my foot is throbbing.  Das Boot does help relieve the discomfort when one is on their feet. It was a big help when I had the stress fracture in the right foot back in '09. Interesting thing is that the doc said I can ride my outside bike. I guess the pressure on that area is different.

What is happening with you all today? There is a Saturday Coffee with the mayor in our town today and we are going to go see what he has to say about Home Rule and another referendum that is on the ballot this month. I guess I will hobble around and straighten up the kitchen also.

 Happy St Patricks Day

This should be a warm day again today. I hope I can get out and get some sun again. I can see tan lines from yesterday.

Today I am fixing corn beef and cabbage for the family. I made green jello and deviled eggs yesterday, Now all I have to do is prep the meal.

I also have a few things to do around the house, normal weekend stuff.

I may be just getting old, or blind. I went to Walmart yesterday, to get some toy horses. These are for a barnyard
on Huberts train layout. I looked in toys, and the party stuff. Thinking that maybe in the childerns area. I even asked at the C.S. area. Not a horse or cow in the store!  They didn't have any St. Paddy Day stuff either.

I also wanted to get some green helium filled balloons. The $ tree had  them, but was unable to blow them up, because thier tanks were empty!!!

Life is Good.

HUGS,
LISA

That is weird about not having the St Patty's day stuff. I was in Jewel yesterday and they were loaded with it plus all of the food items that are green. Right at the entrance they had the Irish beer and other items.

I was going to make my corned beef dinner today but opted to go out so we can sit outside - priorities you know!

There was a time when I was looking into moving to Chicago and I looked on this website to find places.  It rates apartments and management companies.  When you mentioned Presidential Towers the flags went up!!!  Here read for yourself...I don't want to be negative but everyone is saying it's horrible.  And I would hate for your to make a mistake.

We for almost 8-10 years have voted early. Takes the stress away from going to the polls on election day. I love the little older people that serve at the polls but get irritated when I have to give them my name etc several times and then they want to chit chat about "do you know so & so over by you"?

Dave wanted to live at Pres Towers when he worked @ 1 S Wacker back in the '80's and I said no way Jose! I like having dirt under my feet at times and to grow things and not just grow house plants.

Hello everyone

What a wonderful Saturday.  I am sitting here relaxing with the doors and windows open.  I have been out in my garden watering my plants already.  It's so nice I wi**** could be like this all of the time.  I already did laundry, vacuumed, and dusted.

Yesterday I did the stupidest thing .  I went to Chipotle to buy my dinner and couldn't find my debit card (they were nice enough to give me my food for free).  So I check my car...nothing.  I went back to the gym....nothing.  I went to work...nothing.  I went back home...nothing.  I panicked and drove to my bank to cancel my card.  Just as he pushed the button to cancel the card ( and I mean the second he pushed the button) I found my card!!!!  It slipped into a tear in the lining of my purse!!!!  So I canceled my card for nothing!!!  So I 'm on cash for the next 7-10 days.  If I need more cash I have to go to the bank again...it's such an inconvenience!!!  And I hate writing checks!!!  When I have ca****end to spend more too.  It's like as soon as you break a $20...it's gone!!!  Well that's what I get!!!  I'm changing purses today!!!!

Well enough of my trials and tribulations...hahaha.  Today I am going to workout,  and do some baking and get out in the garage and straighten that out a bit.  Really though there's nothing going on and I'm going to putz around the house and relax this weekend.  I don't have any St Pats Day stuff planned.  Never really did celebrate St Pats....which is funny since I am part Irish.

Christine-  I am sorry that your foot is hurting so much.  You and dawn should get together and rest and watch movies!!!!

Dawn-  I'm glad you are recovering nicely.

Well back to my relaxing and time to eat breakfast.  Everyone enjoy your St Patricks day festivities.  Bye.

I know a lot of people have and love debit cards but we do not have one. CC for us most of the time even at the grocery store or for small things we always have a few bucks in our pockets. Except when we go to Aldi; then we need cash. Checks at Costco for us as we do not have the cards they accept.

The foot is better today. I just was on my feet too much yesterday.

   Happy St Patricks Day!

Tis another beautiful day and it looks like we have another week of this weather.  Like Crystal, I could have this weather all the time. It is beautiful!  Too bad this is not year round.

No special plans for today.  Just kicking back.  We went out to dinner last night.  I got home from work to a phone message reminding me of an appointment with a different doctor on Wednesday and had I done my blood work yet?  So off to the hospital to have MORE blood drawn.  Pretty soon, I will need a deposit.   We went out for Italian beef afterwards.  There is one restaurant that makes the yummiest beef.  I had leftovers for lunch today.

Christine, I hope your foot starts feeling better.  I hate stress fractures as they ache!  Enjoy your day!

Lisa, I have tried to buy St Patrick's stuff at Walmart for several years and they just dont carry it.  I think that is goofy.  They push every other holiday but that one.

Randy, good luck apartment hunting.  I hope you find the perfect place.  I vote brisket over corned beef and cabbage too.

Crystal, I would have been in panic city over my debit card missing!  Like you I dont like to carry a lot of cash.  It would be my luck to find it just as they cancelled the card.  Bummer.

Dawn, I am glad surgery went well, but sorry you are confined to a chair with a HUGE cast!  No fun at all.

Georgie, enjoy your weekend with Chloe.

Thing green!
