Sunday Roll Call
Happy Sunday to everyone!
Not much on my plate today as I would like to relax as much as possible. I have a couple of books setting next to me to escape into. I would like to be as relaxed as possible for tomorrow at work.
I think that we might go to Costco again this morning to see if they carry the ink cartridges for the wireless printer that we are looking to purchase.
Is there anything special going on for you today

Hello everyone
I see it will be a beautiful day today...up to 55 degrees!!! So I think I am going bike riding!!!
Yesterday I tried a new machine at the gym and I loved it. It's called a AMT machine. It's like an elliptical but there's more range of motion and I definitely got a better workout on this machine. I love this machine. Then I went to Payless to get shoes...I have a hard to find size (12). Well they had shoes I really wanted in another size so I asked if they could order these. She said to hold on. She came back and said they had the pair I want at another store down the street and they are holding them for me. And because of the inconvenience they took $4 off the price!!! Yeah!!!
Well if you guys saw my Facebook you saw that someone tried to snatch my purse last night. I was getting out of my car and took two steps and the next thing I know some guy is grabbing at my purse. Then my instincts just took over and i had my purse with both my hands and wouldn't let go...which only left my legs free. So I just started to kick. I kicked and kicked. I know I was kicking him really hard too because I was wearing gym shoes and I could feel the impact. At one point (and this is what made him let go) I turned to the side and wedged my foot up to his stomach and pushed as hard as I could and he let go. Then ran. Funny thing is the whole time I never even looked at his face or how tall he was....nothing. It happened so fast!!!! I was so focused at looking down at his hands and getting him to let go of my purse. The only thing I know for sure is that he was white...his hands were white. I now understand why people can never give good descriptions. I know what he was wearing because I watched him running away. Then my first instinct was to get away....so I got back in my and drove away. I drove to the police station but I told them I had no description to give them. Oh well. I am fine not one injury on me!!!! You know this all reminded me of the time when I was 13 and a group of guys I knew from school tried to gang rape me. Nothing harped because I fought them off. But the same feeling came over me. I just started kicking and punching until I got free and ran away. Back then I was sooo embarrassed by the whole thing and I blamed myself so never I told anyone but my best friend...they got away with it. I wonder if they ever tried that with anyone else....
So that was my exciting Saturday evening. Today other than going bike riding I might go shopping for a long sleeve running shirt. The kind that keeps you warm and wicks the sweat away. Then I need to do laundry.

Crystal, I know I left a message on your FB comment, But dang Girl, You are one awesome person. You were able to keep your cool and keep your purse. I don't know if i would be able to do it, or just go into shock and freese.
At thirteen, you were amazing too. Thank goodness you were able to get away from them. Growing up in the inner city, you learned how to protect yourself.
I received a letter yesterday, from our hospital, telling me that I need to make an appointment to have another test, and a sonagram done on my left breast. Apparently something doesn't look right. I will keep you informed.
I did spend time with both my girls yesterday. Then Monica and I went to Trader Joes before we came home. It was a good day.
Today, just doing a few things, I do have a chicken brining. I will roast it, and have it for dinner tonight. I also will make a small pot of chicken soup, for lunch today. Otherwise, the Daytona 500 is on. Its Nascar season finally.

Crystal, I saw FB and commented. for you - where on your body do you carry your purse? During the winter time I always have my purse on the inside of my coat. I have a long strapped small clutch bag that fits nicely underneath the coat when it is zipped. During the summer I do the following: the other habit I have is when I go to the car - I am aware of who is around me and then my purse goes into the car before the packages or groceries do. I have my keys in my hand or pocket - the door is locked and the packages are put in the hatch or the trunk at that time. I guess these habits are the "police" in me.

Good Afternoon Everyone!
Another great day today. Rick and I are going to a Home and Garden show and then to Walmart shopping. I read an article about an attic blanket that cuts 30% off your energy expenses so am going to check it out. Beemer was a hoot last night. We were watching Animal Planet and it was about different puppies being born. They were all registered breeds. Beemer hopped up on the carrier just in front of the TV and was glued to the set! He watched the entire program and even pawed the screen several times. Wonder what he would have done if it had been about cats?

I dont know if I would have been that brave, especially when taken by surprise. What a scare! I would have been hopping mad though! You can be my protector any time.
