Happy day all. We will be off to the grocery store and then Costco when it opens. After that basement time for me. I was too tired yesterday and took a nap instead.

What is happening in your corner of IL?

Talked myself out of getting new shirts, pocket tees and my hanging out at the house shorts.  I sent an email to Jerzees as I do not see my shorts at Target any more.  I still have to buy Big clothes so those would have been $150.  New 48 / 29 oants that have an expansion in the waist should last me at least a couple of months.  $41 and $25 for a belt.  It will be nice when I get to a goal weight and  have the next surgery to get clothes that fit from the regular areas.  At least some of my clothes I can get at JCP but still in the Big and Tall they want an arm and a leg.

Church, watching golf and to that table group.  I am taking a cheese cake from Jewel made with Equal.  There will be venison stew that I can pick the venison out and eat but not sure of the other foods.  The person hosting it this month likes to take Jewels meatballs and cook them in a sauce mixed with grape jelly.  Even though I am bringing cheesecake she said she would get a chocolate cake. She got pretty bent out of shape last month though when I wrote the group that they were all carboholics in denial.  I had best take a bowl of veggies or salad.

Randy, is it just the Target near you for the Jerseez brand or all of them?

Grape jelly - just what you need!

Hello everyone

Yesterday was a nice day.  Amanda and I hit a couple thrift stores.  I found a pair of GAP pants for $3 and an Old Navy sweater for $5...Amanda bought some sundresses.  Then we worked out.  I went on the elliptical...I love that machine, After 45 minutes I'm sweating my butt off.  And I feel like my legs get a good strength workout.  Then we went to the Co-op and Amanda got some food and I went to Chipotle and got my steak and cheese buritto.  Amanda took me to this place that makes the best homemade cookies ever!!! YUMMY!!!!

Today....I am going to get my newspaper, workout, do laundry, and then .....relax.

Well time for breakfast and Law & Order....see ya later.  Have a great Sunday.

I am going to have to see if there is a co-op  somewhere in the NW 'burbs area that we can go to.

Not sure how the coop works but if you search on Illinois darmers markets you will finf local farms that will bring boxes of produce to the local markets for you to pick up on a subscription basis.

Good Morning to All,

It is to be a kick-back day for me. I do have a few things to take care of first, but then, just relaxing.

Randy, always take something you can eat, so if there isn't anything else, you have yours.

Yesterday at the store, I found bison steaks marked down. 6 oz. portions, 40 grams of protein and 180 cal. Yes I know, to much protein for one time, but even 3 oz. portions will give you 20.

Have a great day,

Hugs,
LISA

We had a Ted's restaurant up here near Woodfield that had bison and other game meats. I liked the meat when I was at the restaurant but when I took the meat/leftovers home for reheating (slowly) I found that it ended up with a "gamey" taste the next day. Interesting that you found the bison in your area. Have you ever had "grass fed" beef? We have tried it and find it tasteless and too expensive. I think it is a gimmick. Bill Curtis from Chgo CBS news has an interest in grass fed beef and it used to be sold at the French Market under the Olgovie train station. I am not sure if it is there anymore. Anyways, I think the meet leaves a lot to be desired.

I prefer organic grass fed beef.  Not to mention it was the way cows are supposed to be fed.  The way mass market production farmers feed the cows with corn or grain is not healthy for the cows and can cause intestinal infections which then causes e-coli...then causes the need for antibiotics.  Oh I will stop now because I can go on and on...my daughter makes me watch these documentaries and now all these facts are floating around in my head.

Here watch these ....my favorite is Food Inc...I will never buy Purdue or Tyson products again after watching that.
