Thursday Roll Call

Hello everyone

My Direct TV isn't working???  I wonder why.  This is the first time.  I heard sometimes when the weather is bad the satellite can go out but there is no bad weather right now.  It's just gray and cloudy.  It has been storming outside before and the TV was fine.  I will check it tonight and see if it's still a problem.

Yes, I am still sore.  It's such a weird place to be sore...your calf muscles.  But you really feel it when you walk.  The funny thing is as you walk awhile the pain starts going away.  I guess that's the way it goes with shin splints.  The pain wains as you workout and comes back afterwards....that's why a lot of runners ignore it and run anyway.  But not me...I want to get better.

Jasper is playing with my feet right now.  When I'm under the blankets, I wiggle my feet and he "attacks" them....hahahaha!!!!  My way of playing with him.

I can't wait till the weekend....ahhh.  I will relax.

What's going on with you today?

Well I will see you guys later.  Have good day...bye

Good Morning.

We have bad fog this morning. Hubert just called and said he can't see the store from the fuel center across the parking lot. I get to drive 18 miles in it to get to work. By going out my way a few blocks, I can hit stoplights at every turn. A bit safer then
then trying to cross where there isn't any.

No plans for this evening. Just exercising.

Have a safe day, Life is Good.

Hugs,
LISA

Crystal, your remark about Direct Tv is too funny. We are thinking of switching to them and after the run around I had with them yesterday I may just stay with my current carrier.

Eating my breakfast of beef jerkey and cheese. I litterally fell in love with this cheese that I can get at Trader Joe's. Only problem is no Trader Joe's in my area so when I go to one I stock up on my cheese. Yay Cheese!

We have a new computer system going in at work. My office is the office that gets to try it out for a month before they bring it to the rest of the district. Joy o Joy! Should be exciting at work for the next few days.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

I am back at work but sent out 2 resumes.  That and the fact that my SIL is "sick" again AND Lisa's idea all have me smiling.

Crystal......that is probably why I have such a hard time running.....no treadmill.  I do it outside on the street.  Lots of jarring.  Take it easy and get better soon.  I know you can do it, you just have to work up to it.  Have you tried the "Couch to 5k" program?

Tonight we have a "Mystery Dinner" with the Scouts and that is always fun.  Rumor has it that this year, I might get to actually enjoy the dinner instead of serve.  Since David is no longer in the Troop, I am not really supposed to have to do anything.  We will see.

I plan on relaxing this weekend as Monday begins auditions for the high school show and that means I will be back and forth to the theater almost every night for the next 8 weeks!

Everyone have an awesome day!

Good morning Crystal and IL!

Well, the sun is now shining after some fog early am!  Yeah!.  Crystal, sorry you are hurting.  I have heard shin splints are very painful....running outside is hard on your body!

Lisa, hope you got to work safely.

Dawn, I wanted to tell you about a pretty good job hunting website, it is:
www.indeed.com
You can specify area and job type and it searches a lot of the job postings, such as career builder, etc.  Gives you a little broader look at what is available in the area you are looking in.  Good luck!

Don't know much!  Nothing exciting going on.  Have a great day.

Home from the test and after being a human pin cushion. They stuck me 3 times before they could get a vein for the IV. Part of the test was taking a nitro tablet. That had a weird sensation with it.

Crystal, I used to get shin splints when I first started power walking or running. I found that the prior warm up was crucial to not getting them.

Off to the 1st & 2nd doc apts this afternoon. But before I go for those I have 2 PCs that I need to set up Outlook on. I just got them back after they were rebuilt and now oh joy, I get to load all the programs back on. We have to buy a new printer also because the new OS for Windows does not work with our old printers. So, we are going wireless in the house and we will just have one printer and it will be upstairs in the office. We will just have to walk upstairs to get our printouts.

UPDATE TO THE DAY'S EVENTS FOR ME

I have received the results already from the CAT scan I had today and was told that I have the normal amount of calcification in the heart for a person my age and there is nothing to worry about. I do not have to go back and see him! Yeah!

The injury to my leg is tendonitis and if it does not go away then I can call back and ask to have a script written for PT. I am NOT going back for any PT, period for a long time. It dominates your life when you go for it.

The only thing happening for me is that my thumb is still broken and I cannot bend it and I knew that I would more than likely have to go back to the doc for it. That is minor in comparison to the gold digger doc that I had was testing me to death!

I can now go on with my life and go to docs on a normal basis for blood work and BP checks. Oh my I am going to sleep well tonight.

 Good Evening Everyone!

Sorry to be mia yesterday.  I got home from work and laid down for a "short" nap about 6:00 and slept the night through.  So much for the nap.  I went to the onocologist yesterday and left more frustrated than when I went in.  He examined me, just kept saying he will get to the bottom of things and then ordered more tests.  Sigh.  I have to go in next Tuesday for tests and they only do them between 11 am and 2 pm.  Do these people think that no one works?  I go back in 2 weeks for hopefully some answers.  I went to the dntist tonight and my mouth is still healing.  I may have a healed mouth 6 months after my extraction!  Grrr.  So tired of soft food.

Crystal, I am so sorry you are still so sore.  That is hard to experience.  Hope it ends soon.  Glad Jasper is learning to be an attack cat.  It is always so fun to play with them.  As far as Direct TV, it sounds like something may be wrong.  I almost NEVER have reception problems.  I had a LOT of problems with DISH.  It would go out every time it rained.  A quick call should solve things.  Their customer service is pretty helpful.

Lisa, I hope your travels were safe today.  I hate driving in fog.  I love your idea of the toe polish!  That is a great idea!

Christine, I am sorry that you strained a ligament.  It is amazing how easy we can do damage to ourselves.  Glad the heart tests came out great!  Have fun with your computer updates!

Monica, I much prefer Direct TV over Dish.  Maybe it is the location you are in.    Good luck with your new computer system!

Dawn,   I am sorry you are in the job from hell.  Just remember that you have company.  Good for you for sending out some resumes!  That is a huge step!  Enjoy your play tonight.

Georgie, I am going to check out that website you posted.  Thanks for the tip!
