Morning/day everyone. The basement is coming along but am taking a day off from it today to clean the rest of the house after I go to Best Buy for my Fitbit.

I will be going out for a walk after it gets light. The wind was a little nasty yesterday but I dressed in my long johns and I was fine. We walked down for a bite to eat last night and it was not too bad as the wind had died down.

What is going on in your corner of the state?

We got all we needed to do done yesterday.  Today is our standard church service / volunteer day.  We went to the Costco parking lot yesterday but parking lot was so busy we left.  The week has been fairly busy but not so busy as the previous few weeks and my going against my normal sleep schedule only made me sick for a few hours.  At least best I can tell that is what was going on as I was cold like I am when my core temp hits while I am asleep and makes me wake up and pul the covers on.  Then I had to be still but not asleep for a few hours as any movement was disorienting and caused nausea but not like vertigo which I also have had.

The Optifast information session was rescheduled for the end of the month due to Valentines day.  That does notmake sense to me but I guess it did to some worker in the program which I would think needs an attitude adjustment.

Randy

So you have been forgiven?

Morning Randy. Yes Costco can get busy especially on the weekends.

I will keep you in my prayers for you to have resolution with the vertigo and sleep issues. I am with you about the fact that the Optifast session being rescheduled - they should have gone forward with it. Why would someone delay making a positive lifestyle change?

Hello everyone

I am just relaxing today...except for working out and getting my newspaper. I did so much yesterday...there's nothing left to do today. I am spending the day watching TV and trying out my new crafty thing.
Yesterday me and Amanda had a good workout. Of course Amanda did great...just as I thought. She can basically sprint 3 miles. I have had to start from scratch. I haven't had to really tried to run on a regular basis since I moved. So I have to build back up. The build up though isn't taking as long as I thought it would. Yesterday I ran for 17 minutes of the 40 minutes!!!!

Then Amanda was telling me more about the Peace Corp. I guess she will have to pass all of the medical tests and Spanish test then they will receive an invitation. When they receive an invitation that's when she will find out when and where they will go. But she was telling me that they were telling her she has a rare combination of skills and education that makes her very valuable. She happens to be a perfect fit for a position they need to fill. So the fact that this is happening so fast for them is unheard of. For married couples it is usually a 2-3 year process. The fact that they may be on their way within a year of starting their application is unheard of. She thinks the will end up in Honduras or Guatemala!!!

So then she started to tell me how I need to visit while she's there. I told her NO WAY!!!!! It would be wayyyy to expensive. She said no it's not...I need to look in to it. It's probably not as expensive as I think it is. AND you know what she's right!!!! I looked and I found round trip tickets for as cheap as $389!!! I will need to get a passport and anti-malaria medicine....but I am soooo going to visit her!!!! I would have never done it at 354 lbs!!! When I'm there I would to see the Myan ruins!!!! Yeah!!! It will be my first adventure!!!!

Well I need to go and eat breakfast and start my relaxing day....have a great day....bye.

Good Morning,

Randy, I hope you get closure to your sleep problems.

Christine, you deserve a day of leisure. Let the house go until next week.

Crystal, What a great adventure you will have. Start planning it now, by getting your passport. Then, put away a few $$ out of each paycheck, so when you can go to see Amanda, you will have it payed for already.Any place Amanda and Charles go will be an adventure.

Dawn, I still cannot get into your pictures:(  I hope you had a great party last night.

Nancy, I am starting to stay home more on the weekends. It is great to be able to kick back and do what needs to be done, or what we  think needs to be done.

Yesterday, I did get some bedding washed, and the back bedroom mostly finished.Today, I will remake the beds, and vac, and that room will be ready for company, I am also going to make a pork rib roast for dinner. They were marking down some meat when I went to the store on Friday, and I was able to pick this roast up for $6.It was a good deal, especially since the last sell date is the 13th.

Have a great, if cold, day.

Hugs, LISA

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Another cold day out there but the sun is out!  I need to head out to the store shortly.  Yesterday I applied for a new job.  It will be interesting to see if anything comes of it.  It is for a business consultant job managing a chain of Subway restaurants.  Overseeing their operations and doing training of the managers.  Surprisingly I am very qualified for this.  It sounds facinating.  Not full time but it will pay the same that I get now.  Ideal.

Christine, glad you made a dent in your basement cleaning.  Have fun with your fitbit!  I love new toys.

Randy, I cant imagine having the sleep issues that you do.  They sound awful.  I hope you reach a resolution soon.  What a challenging thing to have to deal with.  I hate crowds so I would have been with you and left a full parking lot.

Crystal, that is such exciting news about Charles and Amanda!  Of course you must go see them.  It will be an experience of your lifetime!  You also will be bit by the international travel bug and it is wonderful!  You will never forget it.

Lisa, I am glad you got so much acomplished!  What a steal on your roast.  Enjoy!
