Saturday Roll Call

Early, early morning to everyone. I went to bed way too early so here I am awake.

I wanted to share with everyone an app that I found for my phone called myfitnesspal. I mentioned it on the Wedn roll call. It is really cool and you can also log your food and exercise on line. What I really like is that you can scan bar codes and it will log it into your totals. If one has a Fitbit it will update your exercise info. I think that Fitbit has been mentioned in the past - I am just a little slow sometimes getting into things. I am trying to figure out if I want to go out and buy the Fitbit. I want to make sure that it does not become another gadget that ends up in a drawer.

Well, I mentioned yesterday that the basement will be where I am "holed" up in today and tomorrow. Yeap, that is where I will be at. First I am going to brave the temp outside and get my walk in.

What is going on in your corner of IL? I am really looking forward to the auto show. I got my ID for it yesterday. I will be there with two other people on Tuesday. Dave is driving down with us and he will be getting some exercise in by walking the place.

Revision on 04/19/13

Good Morning to You, Good Morning to You, ect. ect, ect.

I also woke up early today, but I went back to sleep.

We got about 1 inch of that nasty white stuff yesterday. Then the wind got bad. Me thinks I will stay in today.

I am determined to finish cleaning up the new/ old, craft/ guestroom/exercise room this weekend. The only bad thing is I will have to empty it out to replace the carpeting later this year. Actually, I want to replace almost all the carpeting this year. I don't know if I will are not. We will see how much money we come home with after the cruise in April.

We haven't been to the Chicago Car Show in years. The last time we went, I think we went over to Davenport, Iowa.  Have fun.

Life is Good.

Hugs ,LISA

Lisa, hope you got all that you planned to do. I plowed through a fair amount but still have more that I want to accomplish.

Hello everyone

It is cold out there.  I will be braving the cold today.  I am picking Amanda today and we are working out together.  I know she will be a running fool...because she goes running all of the time.  Then we are going to Target for my Movie and then going to get lunch.

As far as the FitBit...I love it.  Go on the website.  I think what I like most is that graphs you can compare all of your days.  It pushes me to do better.  If your wear your FitBit to bed it will tell you how your sleeping.  You can see how many "waking" moments you have a night.  I was surprised that I have 96% sleep efficiency...I'm a good sleeper!!!!

I'm watching 16 and Pregnant...I watch this and makes me remember how hard I had it.  It really is hard to be a 16 year old mom.  Especially since the dads ALWAYS seem to flake out...even Amanda's.  He worked and paid some bills...but he was always gone partying and messing with girls.  I watch this show and it makes me glad that part of my life is over with....it was really difficult.  Makes me realize how great I have it now.  I remember being so broke I didn't have money to buy a newspaper!!!  Or being so broke all I had to eat in the house (except formula) was pasta and bread.  But I never went on welfare.  I think being that poor is why I tend to over buy things and overstock...just in case.  I am always worried about not having money.

Well enough remembering...back to eating breakfast.

Have a good day everyone...see ya later.

Thanks for the feedback on the Fitbit. I am going to buy one tomorrow at Best Buy. I would really like to have it for when I am at the Auto Show on Tuesday to see how much activity that is.

Afternoon Everyone!

It is coooooold out there!  That wind cuts through you!  I am staying in where it is warm.  We may go out to dinner tonight.  I have to go grocery shopping tomorrow but that is it.

Christine, have fun holed up ing the basement!  It is always such a good feeling when you are done!  Hope you get your plans accomplished but if not, there is always another day.

Lisa, I would think your house would be EMPTY by now!  But, it is always a never ending battle.  Sigh.  I should start thinking about new carpeting.  Mine is almost 18 years old but it still looks pretty good.  It has been durable if nothing else.

Crystal, I hope you are enjoying your day with Amanda.  It seems like a shame that you finally get to Urbana and they start seeing movement in their Peace Corps application.  Sigh.

Dawn, I hope your party goes nicely.  That sure was sweet of you to host it, but you are a sweet person.  I really like your special photos.  Todd will love them!  As for my voice, it is almost back to normal.  The ENT diagnosed it as a fungal infection and gave me different medicine and that is working great.  As for the lungs, I have blood clots on them, and we are working on that issue.

Georgie, have a great weekend with Chloe!  Even if you do nothing special, it is always great to be together.

Stephen, have a great weekend.

Subaru has its midwest regional office in our town. They loan the department a special event care. You can see a picture of it at itasca.com, go under departments and select police. A picture of the car will eventually appear on it, I took the picture at the Memorial Day parade a few years ago. The vehicle is on display at the show (with other new Subaru's) and employees and volunteers are there to invite people to visit our town and tell about the partnership between Subaru and the dept. We are scheduled to get a new car sometime in the early portion of the year.
