Morning/day everyone!

I had a busy day yesterday. There was a training in the afternoon (that was supposed to be 1hr and ended up 3hrs) on how to take CC payments for the Village and the person that came out for it was a wench! Got the hair finally done and again I look "bootiful".

Have a wake right after work in Bolingbrook and then hopefully there is a Whole Foods somewhere near there so I can snatch a salad from their food court.

What is happening in your corner of IL?

Hello everyone

I am sore today and I don't think it's from my workout yesterday. It's from the personal trainer's work out. It's DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) and I'm feeling it. OUCH!!! Especially my legs and my sides. I will tone down my workout today.

Amanda got some good news about her Peace Corp application!!!! They got nominated!!! I will have to talk to her more to understand what happens next but there are a lot of things that have to happen. She thinks they will be leaving around September!!! They will be getting medical, vision, and dental exams. My goodness this really is a very long process. I'm very proud of her!!!

There's no Whole Foods down here but they have a wonderful
co-op that is from local growers when possible.  I love it, I joined my first shopping trip there.  This year they are expanding.  Of course there's the Farmer Market that is gigantic during the summer.  The nice thing now is that my gym is right next to the co-op and Farmer's Market!!!  I do miss Trader Joes ..

Nothing new going on with me...

Well I better get going...see you later...bye

I do know that there is a Whole Foods at Naperville Rd and Butterfield but I really do not want to backtrack from 355. Where is the co-op and the name of it? I will be on Boughton Rd just west of 355 for the funeral home.

The co-op is in Urbana it's called Common Ground.  It's very small but they are expanding...I can't wait to see what it will be like after the expantion.

Lately I have just been sick :(  My rheumatoid arthritis has been kicking my butt.  They switched me from pills to weekly injections that I give myself of methotrexate (a form of chemo).  blah.  Hopefully it will start helping soon though.  My doc promises that it will help it just takes about 6 months to really see an improvement.

I know it's kind of short notice but I wasn't sure if anyone would be interested in coming or not. I'm holding a lia sophia jewelry party at my house here in Bloomington on Sat. morning at 11am. You'll get to try on jewelry from the new line plus I am making some light brunch items. There will be a raffle for free prizes and free pieces of lia sophia jewelry (I picked out 8 pieces for the raffle). So it should be a fun time. If you are interested just send me a message and I can give you my contact info. I would love to meet some more people from the group!

What: lia sophia jewelry show on Sat 2/11 at 11am
Where: Bloomington, IL at my house
RSVP: just message me for RSVP and directions

Hope everyone is doing well!

Lisa,

Hi and good to see you. I cannot imagine RA and living with it. My probs lately dull in comparison to what you live with daily.

I would love to come down but it is a hike for me. Does your direct sales lady have an on line catalog. I am familiar with the jewelry - only have one piece but am always looking for new adornments.

Good Morning Everyone!

Another sunny day!  I love the sunshine.  It makes everything seem that much more cheery!  Beemer got his new haircut but he drew the line at a B-A-T-H!    It was an either or situation.  He behaved perfectly for the hair cut but rebelled as soon as he saw water in a tub.    He is back to being really cute again and not scruffy.  Should have done it sooner.  I found a different groomer that was a lot cheaper.  Now it costs less to do his hair than mine.

Yesterday I got caught in call center hell at work.  We had problems with our phones and when it was time to leave last night, I could not disconnect from the system so I kept getting calls.  I had visions of being here all night.   Finally my supervisor resecued me by hanging up on someone.  Fortunately it was a sales rep for us.

Christine, I just love all the processing we have to go through and hoops that we jump through to fill all then needs of everyday life.  Training is so boring.

Crystal,  I think things are moving fast for Charles and Amanda.  Anytime you are talking about an overseas assignment there is so much red tape and all kinds of clearance.  Now is the time to start getting really excited!   I envy you and Christine for living in large city with so many healthy food choices.  That is wonderful

Dawn, I am so sorry to hear about the bronchitis.  That stuff really wipes you out!  I like the second opinion you got on David!  Sounds like a plan.

Lisa, I hope you have a great day in Ottawa today!

Nancy, a lot of the training was supposed to be geared at a refresher. Well, I never had the original training. The other girls and I just "limp" through the search for the payment of parking tickets. From what I found out the woman "thought" everyone was on the same playing field . . . but she still was a wench!

Our in house payments for the CC will be easy and that was just about a 15 minute portion of the training. Wait until people find out that there is a convenience fee for using a CC! When they call for info to pay on line I usually do not tell them - it is for them to read the fine print!

Good morning Christine and the rest of Illinois!

I am at lunch right now and thought I would stop in quick.

Things here are the usual.  David has decided to take the "wait and see" approach for his possible surgery.  I think that is a good thing.

I got the pics back from the "Boudior Shoot" that I did on Saturday and they are in my profile.  I probably won't leave them in there forever, but for those that were interested, take a look.  If you want the photographer's contact info, I can let you know.  The pics turned out way better than I thought they would......I sprung for the full thing with hair and make-up and the hair and make-up made me seriously UNDERwhelmed.  I thought the eyes were hideously dark in person, but the pics do not look that way.  Next time, I will take care of my own.

Besides that, I might try to get to the Playhouse's preview tonight of their new play.  That is if I can get organized for the party I am giving on Saturday.  I am giving one of David's (and my) friends a party since she is leaving for the Navy on Tuesday.  Her family life seems a bit odd, so I offered her my house, food and hospitality since she deserves it and it won't happen any other way.

Everyone have a fantastic day!

Tell someone that you love them!
