Friday Roll Call
Morning/day everyone!
Dave is getting better. He was able to tolerate broth and yogurt yesterday. I am staying far away from him and not handling his stuff and if I do it is with a paper towel around the object and then I wash my hands.
Not much going on with me. I have my kitchen island to straighten up today and that is about it. I need to find my reading glasses also. They were by my 'puter last night but not now. How about the rest of you?

I am up and have already done groceries. I am without a car soon and until Sunday evening...so if I need anything the time is running out to go out to get it!!! I have a Walgreens a few blocks from me...it's just not the best weather to go walking...YUCK!!!! I wi**** was going to be 50+ degrees out...than I would bike riding every where.
In a way it's nice to be house bound, I have no choice but stay in and putter around the house and relax.
Yesterday, I dropped off Amanda's box of pictures and stuff. On my way home I tried a new burger joint called Meatheads. It was not too bad. Better than the typical fast food place. The fries are freshly made there...which is nice.
I hope the day flies by and I can't wait to start my relaxing weekend!!!!
Christine- I glad to hear Dave is feeling better. I read up on that virus...wow...poor Dave. I also see that is what people get on cruise ships. I also see that it's from people not washing their hands before handling your food...ewww.
Well have a great Friday everyone!!!! See ya later gators!!!
Good Morning Christine and IL!
Hope Dave gets to feeling better. That is one nasty virus. AND I surely hope you don't get it.
Crystal, enjoy your relaxing weekend. Remember to rent some movies to have on hand, if you want to do that! Catch up on reading, relax, play with Jasper, it will be so much fun. I think I'll call it "forced R&R" LOL
Not much happening on this front. Chloe is coming tonight. She didn't come last weekend because of the weather up here...they hardly got any snow as Crystal can attest. I have my Dr. Appt with my band doc this afternoon. I should get a fill to start getting some more restriction back!
Everyone have a super weekend.

I hope you get some restriction but not too much!!! I had a too tight incident a couple of years ago and I let go on too long because I was losing weight. I couldn't sleep lying down because I would wake up choking on fluid that would come back up on me!!! I did finally go in for a slight unfill when I couldn't even keep water down anymore. I lost 10 lbs in one week!!! But it wasn't worth it. I had a friend that lost her band because she kept it too tight.
I really live with the fear in the back of my mind that my band will go hay wire on me some day. I still have to call my insurance to see if that cover WLS and fills...I haven't done it yet because I have a feeling they don't. But either way I need to just bit the bullet and call already!!!
So, today, he put in 1.5 cc. He had put a little more and we could see the contrast not going through, so he took a little out, bringing it to 1.5. I could certainly feel a difference tonight. I'm hoping to get on a good track and lose some wt. Over the past year I have slowly put on about 18 lbs, so want to get rid of that and of course more! But steadily! He wants me to come back in 6 weeks to put a little more back in, so we'll see.
On a side note, I went to the new office in New Lenox. VERY nice!
Christine, thanks for asking. I think this will be a good start again. Glad Dave is feeling better. You are a good nurse...but aren't you glad you didn't go back to work on Thurs? Again, just hope you don't get sick. How have you been feeling? Is your stomach better?
Everyone have a great weekend. georgie
I am also glad Dave is starting to recover.
Crystal, have a great weekend. I can relate to wanting a forced stay at home weekend. I need to do that more often.
Georgie, I am still having problems with my band also. I have always had the problem of stuff coming back up. Sometimes every meal, other times, a week or more will pass with no problems. I see my Dr. in Feb.
No big plans for this weekend. Today, I have a short todo list. Then, depending on what I get done today, will give me the plan for tomorrow. I am planning on doing nothing on Sunday except bookwork.
The sun is shining brightly, it is nice to see. Life is good.
Hugs,
LISA
