Early morning/day. I have been up all night. Davey Pooh has the flu. It is pretty bad. I try every year to get him to get the shot but no. So, I am the cleaner upper person. Good thing I did not go back to work today.

Good Morning,
I am so sorry that Dave got the flu. Also that u are the nurse, and gofer. Hopefully you won't get it too.
It's my last work day of the week. Honestly, at this time of year, I work harder at home then at work. Yesterday when I got home, I cleaned off our island. Took a whole 5 min. Tonight, I will eake on something else. I also exercised and checked the mail. Nothing earth shattering, but it was nice to see the island cleaned off when I came into the kitchen this morning,

Hello everyone
Yesterday I was in my garage in this cold weather and I was digging through Amanda's boxes looking for the one that had her pictures and stuff in them. She called me and asked me to find her pictures so she can put some in her memory book...it was really cold out there!!!! They were in the 4th box I looked in!!!
Today after work I'm driving the pictures over to Amanda...that's it for my day (except work),

WOW! It seems like I have been away for a while and it was only Monday.
Christine----I am glad to hear that you are taking the extra days off and sorry to hear that Dave is sick. Hope you are both doing better very soon!
Crystal---keep an eye on the ankle or at least mark your calendar so that if it becomes an issue, you will have the exact information for the doctor. Absolutely LOVe the Greek Chicken!
Lisa--Good to hear that you are still exercising and getting things done. Sucks when your co-worker can't be relied on.....mine was "sick" again on Tuesday. It seems that she needs a day off every 2 weeks for SOME thing, usually an ailment of some sort. She is a hypochondriac and a drama queen.
Vicki---Way to go! Stay with the program and you will be amazed at your progress.
Sorry to hear about Janet K. She just has awful luck. I wish there were something I could do to help.
As for me, I have been busy as heck at work (in part due to the missing co-worker) and just trying to adjust my thinking into the fact that this is "just a job" and all I have been working for for the last 12 years was apparently a lie. Until I can find another way to make enough $$$ to support my expensive daughter, I guess I am stuck. I am TRYING HARD to make the best of it.
David is doing much better and no longer screams during packing changes. Actually, as of last night, the hole is much smaller and packing might not be needed by tomorrow. It was been very traumatic but we got through it. He may need or choose surgery to remove the actual cyst (as this was only to drain the infection). If so, the hole will be bigger and need to be changed twice a day and for closer to a month. Maybe Nancy is right and this is a skill I can list on my resume........
I'd better get back at is as break time is over.

Lisa, isn't it amazing how it only takes a few minutes to make something look so different, and yet I'm alwyas pautting stuff like that off! I make it into a MUCH bigger deal in my mind, I think.

Dawn, maybe I missed it...was the "new guy" "annoited to be in charge? That whole scenario is a mess. You are right. Stay put unti you can find something that will work better for you! I had a cyst on my back that had to be removed (it didn't abcess however). The Dr. did it in the office, put in some stitches, and yes, there was a big hole for a few years, but it has "villed" in!
I work half a day tomorrow, but am going to my band Doc for a fill. I don't think I told you guys, but when I had my fill in....maybe late Oct...after a couple of weeks, I started getting bad acid reflux at night, to I would wake up choking. Knew that wasn't good, but had an appt scheduled for mid Dec, so thought I would wait it out. I was having a hard time eating...ok, just say it CLASSIC case of being too tight. The reflux kept getting worse and really was awful, but was so close to my appt by this time, I just waited. Dr. Joyce fills under fluro, and asked me when the last time I had eaten (it was about 2 pm. Todl him at breakfast. He said, there is still food there, that's not goood. We need to take some out. Had told him about the relux too and he wasn't too happy about that! Anyway, he took FOUR cc's out. Now we start filling again, so we'll see how that goes. My advice....DON'T ever let it go if you think you are too tight!

Dave got a call from his doc and we were both on the phone. More than likely he has Novovirus AKA/Norwalk virus. It is nasty. Google it and look at the info that Wikipedia has on their site about it. Poor guy he was so sick last night.
The doc emphazised sanitation, sanitation, sanitation, fluids, fluids, fluids to begin with. He was concerned about my recent hospital stay and what it was for. I have a whole bunch of sanitation products lined up to use in the kitchen and bathroom. I found out from Wiki that my flu shot last fall will not lessen the effects of the virus. It is a pretty nasty virus and it is spread by unsanitary food workers and contaminated food with the virus, YUCK. Oh it is also spread person to person and coming in contact with the virus on surfaces when you touch it and also the airborne particles that you come in contact with.
