Tuesday Roll Call

Morning/day all. I got all of my paperwork done yesterday. Now I just need to organize it for taking to the 2 doc apts and write questions to go with.

I am just going to lounge again today. I will have Dave take me to Hallmark to get some cards. I cannot drive yet until I see the surgeon.

Just another day in paradice, not. I got home last night, exercised and then made a steak dinner. No reason, just that it was easy.

Going to be going to work shortly. Yesterday, here in Streator, my co worker didn't show. Which is typical. She seems to miss alot of Mondays. We were slow, so np.

Hello everyone

Well another day here....it would be nice if it were Friday.

I have been having problems with my ankle.  I didn't sprain it because it's not bruised and swollen.  I think I did something to the ligaments or something.  I can walk on it just fine but then all of the sudden I get a sharp pain and sometimes it feels like it's going to give in under me.  It started after one of exercise routines.  I wrapped it with an ace banadage and have laid off the exercise until the ankle stops hurting.  This ankle has always given me trouble for years.

Nancy- the same thing happened to me at my last job because I was unfortunate enough to get the flu in November and Strep in January and even though I had vacation time to cover my time off it was still mentioned in my review as something I NEED to work on!!!!  

Christine- glad you are home...it's always good to be home.

Well, we certainly did get rid of our snow!  I'm happy about that. 

Christine, hope you are feeling better and are ok going back to work on Thurs....then again...Why not just let you go on  Monday so you have the weekend to really rest?  Just sayn'

Lisa, unreliable help is so frustrating, especially when YOU are the reliable one and get stuck!

Crystal, I kinda giggled at Jasper getting in your Crock Pot.  He is learning all sorts of new things.  Roxie's new big thing is digging in her crate and getting down to the nice pad I have for her to lay on...then she's been chewing on it and shredding the stuffing in her cage.  We have had serveral stern conversations.  She was doing ok...but yesterday.....not so much.  I duck taped it all back together and really scolded her.  She HATES that and kept trying to jump up in my lap to make up, but I wouldn't let her right away.  Drove her nuts.  Final let her and she was all wiggely and licking me.  She KNOWS she's wrong.  I know she is prbly bored in her crate, but it's big...and i hate to put chewies she could choke on.  Any other toys left alone, she'd tear them apart.  Just not sure what to do.  Open to suggestions from anyone!

Vickie, I haven't told you, congrats and welcome to the losers' bench.  Hope things go well for you.  I'm sure you can't wait to get some shakes!!

Dawn, David's abcess sounds horrible and really painful.  Hospitals (read that as insurance companies) don't want to take care of anyone they absolutely don't have to.

 Good Afternoon Everyone

I am at home for a few minutes between appointments.  I got my scan done and next is the dentist office.  Always seems to be something.  Tomorrow I go in for an injection in my hand to help with arthritis.  I HATE getting old.  Not much else happening. Just heard back from the doctor.  It looks like there are blood clots on the lungs.  Not sure how they got there with a filter and being on coumadin.  Yuck.  Now we increase the coumadin and I get to see a blood specialist.  Whoopee!  

Christine, hope you are feeling better.  If not, I agree with Georgie to lie low until Monday before going back to work.  If I had caved in and done that in early January I probably would have been over this mess.  

Lisa, I'm sorry that you were solo yesterday.  That does get old.  It is really hard when you have a small office.  I hope things went better today.

Crystal, watch that ankle.  If it keeps hurting, you may want to get it checked out.  You never know whether you tore something.  I missed your post about Jasper getting in your crock pot!      Mine haven't tried that yet.  It blows my mind that companies would rather have you come to work sick and get everyone else sick than stay home.  

Georgie, Roxie sounds like a little pistol.  Isn't it funny how they can be naughty and then want to get forgiven as if all is well?  Frustrating but also endearing.
