Thursday Roll Call

Ya I am sitting with my sweat pants, t-shirt, sweat shirt, my wool socks, electric blanket, and regular blanket....I just wish I could find a way to keep my fingers warm and type at the same time.  I just keep wondering why I wasn't this cold when I was younger and skinnier.

Crystal the warmth part I was told by my surgeon is because we are not taking in as many calories into our bodies. When we eat a lot our bodies generate heat when burning them off.

Have you seen those hand sock thingies? They are like an extention to a sweater sleeve. You put it on and it fits down the top of your hand and under the palm. I saw it on the news when they were featureing clothing to help keep you warmer outside. I have also seen fingerless gloves but do not have any.

You can also keep a kids squirt gun around as they are easy to use also. Try a rolled up small section of newspaper to startle him also. He will learn fast enough.

I am still plodding along here.  Went to the doctor again today as I still have no voice.  He referred me to an ENT.  So I get to wait for more news.  I am just so tired.  Ugh!

Crystal, Jasper isn't the only kitty with the naughty biting behavior.  My Claude will do it as well.  For him, I think it is just an urge to bite and a way to try and clean his teeth.  I always tap him on the nose and that usually stops him.  Fluffer will ocassionally nibble at me when I am petting him.  I just yell and he stops. For him, it is almost a love bite.  

Lisa, I am glad your work has slowed down some.  I just LOVE those know it all people.  I have had my share of a few in the last few days.  Enjoy your couple shower this weekend.  

Dawn, I agree, it is too cold to go camping.  Those guys are idiots!  

Christine, you must be really frustrated at this point.  All those tests and no answers.  I hope they decide soon and make you feel better!  

Debbie, what a compliment to not be recognized!  Change is great!  It is amazing at how cold we can get.  A new normal for us.  Stay warm!
