Christine, if you went to the ER you had to be sick.. Glad they were able to fix the problem, and you are now on the mend.

Yes very painful. Doubled over type of pain. They have me on hold for surgery. Doing another dest and some consulting with other docs first.

A bowel obstruction!!!  I sure hope you get better ASAP!!!  How does one end up with a bowel obstruction, does this have to do with your WLS?

Anyone that has had abdominal surgery can have an obstruction. The belly wall has been weakened and the colon can get entraped. It could be from wls but more than. Likely it is from an old hernia that has not been fixed.

Well that's not what I wanted to hear...that means it could happen to me!!!  I have had gallbladder surgery and WLS!!!  I imagine it was painful.  It sounds painful.  I hope you are feeling better.

I just depends on how prior docs do the surgery closing. A person that has surgs done lap have less of a chance of hernisa etc. All of mine were open surgs.

I have been there and done that, several times.  Once I was "lucky" enough to have it resolve on it's on but I was in the hospital Christmas day for that one.

So you have been forgiven?

Good afternoon Debbie and the rest of Illinois!

I hear ya about the kids growing too fast.  I took Liv to fill out her first "official" application for paid employment last night and we ordered her class ring.  She is my "baby" and growing up way too fast.  David is still out on his own and I try not to worry about him too much.

I am working as usual nothing new there.

I am making the recipe that Crystal shared.  I added a tiny bit of lemon juice as I think of Greek as being lemon and oregano.  I hope I didn't ruin it!  Mine is cooking in the oven slowly since the crock-pot would have had to be on for 8 or more hours and thee recipe only called for 5-6.  I HATE over cooked food.  I think some nice green beans will round it out.

Great to see that Vicki is posting and recovering!

Everyone have a wonderful evening!
