Afternoon. Dave took me to the urgent care this morning. I was the first one in and out. I have a viral sinus infection (which I figured in addition to other symptoms that I will not go into), got a script for a steroid nasal spray and was told that I might get worse before better because I am at the front end of the 7-10 days that it could last. It can also turn into a bacterial infection. Oh Joy! But, we are making the best of it right now, I napped and he is down at the pool. As long as I have HGTV I am fine, TEEHEE! I still have my voice (not saying I will loose it but it is weak at times) so we will see how this goes when I go back to work on Tuesday as I still have to answer the phone and I am the only one there that day.

As far as leaving the Christmas decorations up - mine are still up and it goes back to my upbringing with my Catholic roots of the season is not over until the Feast of the Epiphany - 3 Kings Day on Jan 6th.

This evening we are going to a restaurant that was designed by a protege of Frank Lloyd Wright call The Del Bar. It used to be called Jimmie's Del Bar but they have dropped the Jimmie's part. We walk out the hallway door of the hotel, then walk 200' to the door of the restaurant and we are there. This place is known for their prime steaks and pan fried walleye. I usually always get the walleye but I am obting for a steak tonight. We have a fridge for leftovers or we can put it in a cooler in the car.

Christine,  I am so sorry you have a sinus infection.  This is the first time I have heard of a VIRAL sinus infection.  That is what I have.  I have actually had my sinus infection since early November.  I have had no voice for almost a week.  Rick now has it as well but has not lost his voice.  I hope you dont loose yours.  That is so difficult when you are on the phone all day.  Hot tea and lemon juice have been my friend the last week.  Hope you feel better quick.  My doctor gave me an antibiotic.  I think just to be on the safe side since this has dragged on so long.

Nancy, I am going to guess that at the point you were at with your sinus issue you "graduated" to a bacterial infection and then is when an antibiotic will help. I was at that point with the last one I had and I got a Z pak. What I basically have is a nasty head cold that has camped out in the sinus area - hence a viral infection but I was told it can go bacterial. At this point the nasal sprays (Afrin, script and saline) plus the decongestants are helping. Of course sleep.

Christine,
I am sure my reasoning for leaving up the decorations is also a result of my catholic upbringing as well.  I remember the priest always talking about The Three Kings and having a second celebration then!
Sorry you are not feeling well whie on vacation.  Hope you get better soon.
