Good Morning on the last day of 2011.

If you are going to party tonight, please be careful. There are alot of fools out there.

We are joining a bunch of friends for dinner, then we come home. Hubert has to work in the morning.

Our roof is being finished this morning. I was surprized that they were here on a Saturday, but I am glad that they are.

All Xmas stuff is down, and ready to be taken to the basement. All baked goods are gone as well. I will deChristmas the frig this morning.

What are your plans for today?

Hugs,
LISA

Hello everyone

Well I am sad to say I think my pink eye is back. I am taking the eye drops again. I'm not sure how I re-infected myself since I have washed my house from top to bottom.

I have no plans today. My house is clean and the laundry is done, groceries are done and errands are done....my drivers license officially has my address....woohoo!!!! So I am going to have ANOTHER sit on my butt and do nothing extravaganza!!!!

Does anyone have big plans for the new year....I always stay in.

I am realy hoping for some sun today.

Jasper is helping me keep warm...he's cuddling on my lap. He's very warm.

Well I hope everyone enjoys their Saturday....have a good day....bye.

Good morning all,
Lisa - I still have Christmas up.  I should start taking it down, but we work so hard to put up that I hate taking it down.  Plus I tend to wait till "Little Christmas", Jan 6th.  I know dorky but that is me!!
Take it easy this evening.  Staying home is what my family and I will also do.  I just hate the idea anymore of being out and about.  My kids say I am old!  On this I am old!

Crystal - Jealous you are all done with all your chores.  I have my house to clean and constant laundry to tackle.  I hope your pink eye is not back.  That is so uncomfortable.  Take care!

Today, I am sorting out more junk and unwanted stuff.  I need to go grocery shopping and plan my menu.  I drag my feet on that all the time.  What I need/want to eat can be so different from what my family will eat.  Oh the joys of picky eaters!!
Yesterday we took the kids to see the movie "Sherlock Holmes".  Good movie.  Not much else here.

Take care all

Debbie-  The joys of living alone...when I clean it stays clean.  And I only have one person to do laundry for (three loads a week).  I guess it's what you look forward to after the kids leave the house.  It's the only good thing about living alone...that and I can watch what ever I want on TV....hahahah!!!!

Oh sure!!! Rub it in!!  The idea of my kids leaving is getting closer each day!  My son will be doing basics this summer for the Army Reserves and my daughter is starting high school in the fall.  She is already talking about moving back to Arizona for college!  Gosh where does time go! I look forward to the house staying clean but I do not look forward to the quiet.
Have a great day
Debbie

Debbie, I have never had the "empty nest" syndrome. My 2 have always lived within 100 miles of me. I really think that is what you make of it.

Enjoy your decorations. We put ours up before Thanksgiving, so within a few days after, I am ready to get back to the regular look of the house.

 Good Morning Everyone!

It is good to see 2011 bite the dust.  It was a so so year except for meeting Rick.  That made the year for me.  No special plans for tonight.  Rick's son Gage is here for the weekend.  So we will all just chill.

Lisa, glad your roofers are finishing up today with no major storm while you were roofless.  Enjoy your dinner out tonight with your friends.  I dont have to worry about taking anything Christmas down except for one bag of outdoor things.  Between Rick hurting his foot and me unable to climb the basement stairs with boxes, we passed this year.

Crystal,  I sure hope your pink eye is not back.  That would be super frustrating!  Butt sitting sounds like a great plan for today.

Debbie, there is nothing that says that Christmas has to be down by New Years Day.  Enjoy the decorations.  They are only up once a year.  Cleaning can always wait.  You will not be known for your clean house when you die.    That is one conversation I have never heard at a funeral.

Everyone have a great day!

Nancy, I am so happy for you that you found Rick, and that he found you. You deserved it.

BTW, we are going to a place less then 2 miles from our house this evening. We never go out of town on NYE.

Nancy-  I am pretty sure my cleaning will come up at my funeral.  It seems to be a topic of conversation when we all get together...mainly to poke fun at me.  I am known to be a neat freak and I get made fun of...but I don't mind.  I just deny what they are saying and they all laugh...hahaha.  That will be what they talk about I'm sure when they are remembering me....that and my goofiness.

What a weird topic...

If you want, I will be sure to come to your funeral so I can be sure the topic comes up or is forbidden ... depending on your desires.
