Friday Roll Call
Had a good day yesterday and even went on a nice walk with Amanda...it was such a nice day.
Today I have lots to do. It's all boring errands. Like I have to go to the DMV to change my drivers license address. I have to get the sticker for me license plates. I have to do groceries. I have to drop off a load of laundry at Amanda's house (she didn't get it all done yesterday). It's supposed to get about 50 outside today. So I want to get outside and get the rest of the Christmas decorations down. Then maybe go for a walk again.
Jasper is being a very mischievous kitty. I have folding doors that lead to a pantry. Jasper has now figured out how to open the pantry door!!! So today when I do groceries I am going to cruise down the baby isle and buy one of those locks for the door. My kitty is crazy!!! He needs a pal to play with.
Well I better get going see you guys later. Bye
During the drive up here yesterday afternoon I started coming down with a cold and woke this morning with it full blown in the head and sinus area. I have not had a cold for close to 2 yrs. I usually succumb to them when I am stressed and I have been with too many doc apts. We were smart enough to go to Walgreen's before checking in so I could get some meds. We should have picked up Lysol wipes so I could wipe down what I touch. We will pick those up at the store after bfast.

I am working today but will be leaving at 3. I have 1 hour and 15 minutes of paid vacation left.
A neighbor called me last night to ask if it would be ok to plan New Year's at her house or between our houses. I agreed. I think we will potluck at my house then move over there for games and such. That way, if I want to get to bed early to get Liv in the morning, I won't be leaving guests.
The "Good Riddance" fire will be set so that we can get rid of any negative things from 2011 and begin 2012 fresh. Do you think I can throw my sister-in-law in there?????

Everyone have a spectacular day and a safe and wonderful New Year's!
~Crystal, when we got our 1st kitten it wasn't 6 months later we got him a partner in crime. They seemed to get into trouble more with each other then around the house. Good Luck on the pantry doors!
~Christine, hope your travels are safe and your feeling better soon!!
I've got a busy weekend ahead of me. My son is in a hockey tournament that starts tonight. I know Ill make his game this evening but not sure how the weekend will pan out. In all his years playing (6) Ive only missed 1 game and that was the day after my mom passed.... He came home that night and gave me the biggest hug and told me I cant miss another game being I'm the one who keeps him focused!!

So, since the rinks he is playing in aren't to far from the house ill see, they usually play 2 games a day, so tomorrow might be an issue.. but I will do my best.
I am feeling way better, moving around alot more but still really winded.. but going to see the lung doc today. I do have rashes starting around my steri strips.. and I tried to get them off, but it was pulling to much and I decided to leave them and try again in the shower next time. Ive been using the anti itch cream and its helping some.. but my whole stomach and legs are itching like crazy!!
But on a good note, I snuck (wanted to wait till the end of Jan) on the scale last night and it actually was able to weigh me!! :) I haven't been on that scale in years and it was so exciting to see #'s that I haven't seen in a while

Good Morning,
The roofers are still here, so I hpe the rain holds off.
Nancy, our roof is over 20 years old, and Hubert just wanted to replace it before we rtire. Of course, we don't know when that will happen, hopefully, not for a few years.
All Xmas cookies and bakery are now history. We still have some candies, but they will be gone shortly. Xmas is coming down today!
Otherwise, normal cgores and errands for this Friday.
Crystal, we got one kitten and a month later got the second one. You have to have 2, especially if they are house cats.Ours were our companions for close to 18 years.
Jill, what a nice surprise. Scales don't lie, but don't make it your greatest friend.
Vickie, You also lead a busy life.
I am heading back to the drudge.
Hugs,
LISA
I am still at home with no voice! Rick think this is great as he can say anything to me and I can't respond. All I can do is glare at him. I did pass my germs on to him but he has not lost his voice. That is not fair! I am feeling more human today. I was cold and could not get warm last night. I went to bed at 7:30 and slept the clock around. I guess I needed it.
Crystal, my kitties love to open doors. They think it is fun. Especially the one in the bathroom when I tell them no and cant move to enforce it.

Christine, enjoy your time at the Dells. I am sorry you are sick. I hope you feel better soon and that it does not drag on.
Dawn, enjoy your early out today. I think it is great to split the party between two houses. Especially the idea that your's will be free later on so you can go to bed. As far as your sister-in-law ---- well it may be a good idea but we dont want you in too much trouble. Do you have a voodoo doll of her?
Jill, that is marvelous that you have only missed one of your son's hockey games! And what a sweet thing he said to you. It had to melt your heart. Of course you have to try and go now. Maybe for even part of the game. I remember what it was like at 3 weeks out with still not feeling great and no energy. Take a long nap before the game. I hope your itching stops soon. I too was allergic to the steri strips and tape and it drove me nuts. My sympathies. You will enjoy watching that scale move down! It is such a heady experience.
Lisa, I guess after 20 years it is time to bite the bullet. I hate replacing the roof. I have had to do it twice now. Ugh! Hopefully your workers can move fast. Dont get all involved in your chores without taking some time for yourself today as well.
Everyone have a great day.

Just a quick "Hello"! Today was a fun family filled day. We took the kids to see Sherlock Holmes and out for Chinese. The meal was good, I of course have 2/3 in the frig for another time.
Everyone enjoyed the movie. Lots of special effects, almost too much. But still a good family movie; no sex and no swearing. Yes some violence as there are fight scenes etc.
Well, I am hoping all is well with everyone. I am hoping this rain ends soon. I much prefer the snow versus cold wet rain. Tried running yesterday only to test my skating skills!!
