It looks to be another great day, once the snain gets out of here.
Wendy, it is so nice when we get to see you.
I am off to work shortly. I am hoping ATT gets there this morning and fixes the lines. They said from 8 to 8, we said, we close at 3:30, and our company won't pay us to stay and wait for them.
This is the 4th or 5th time the computers are down since September!
Our roof is off and hopefully the roofing company will get here today and finish.
I have another 4 day weekend this week. Then, back to normal.

Good morning Lisa and the rest of Illinois!
Today it is raining and icy out there! Just plain yucky.
Lisa- Hopefully you will have your computers up and running soon. It is amazing how technology driven/dependent our jobs are. Even as a teacher, so much I do any more is on the computer; IEP's, attendance, Lesson plans, parent communication etc!
I hope you also get your roof soon. Here in Gurnee, not much happening in the weather department but still to be uncovered in the winter could be scary!
Today, I am going to fix some fleece pants I made my son. Being a novice with elastic, the way I sewed it in broke! OOPS!! And this was at school it happened!
Serves him right, I hate when kids wear pj pants to school! I think it looks so sloppy. So I bought some eyelets, eyelet setter and some cording. I will make then tie pants instead.
My daughter has off-ice conditioning again today! Did I mentioned this is with the high school girl's hockey team??!! She is still in 8th grade but they has asked her to start training and skating with them.
Can't play in any games yet. However this coming spring, they will have a 3 on 3 league she can participate in! I am so happy for her. I am hoping this will give her the needed spark to work on her own weight issues before they get way too out of hand. It is amazing the affects of my past!
Well, I am off to work on clothing and make my grocery list for the week and gather coupons. If anyone has coupons they could spare, please email me off this list. I would love to have them!

Morning Ladies, Ive had a heck of a night, I'm itching like CRAZY. I am a week and 3 days out and have tried everything for the itching and will be calling the doc later since I now have an area by 1 of the stitches that is red and raised and yucky looking. Never fails any surgery I have, there is always 1 stitch that I have a reaction to, I have such sensitive skin.
Other then that I am still on track and doing well, getting more fluids in and really trying to get on some kind of a schedule.
Debbie, Who does your daughter play Hockey for?? My son, 11 (Pee-Wee) plays hockey for the Jaguars (Joliet). Such a small world. They might have played against each other! :)
The sun is shinning here and it 'looks' beautiful out!! Hope everyone has a great day!!

My daughter played for one year with the Maulers - out of Rinkside in Gurnee. Her background is competitive figure skating and synchro skating. When he body shape changed she chose to go the hockey route. One of the nice things with our high school, they do not care what the abilities of the girls are. They just the girls to learn and have fun. Of course this particular coach is really into the physically fit part and works the girls like crazy. I am ok with that. The excersis is great for her.

Hello everyone
Well today I'm picking up Amanda and we're hanging out. She's doing laundry and we are going to watch Despicable Me and The Help. Then later today when her hubby gets off work we are going to have a board game night with pizza.....fun!!!
Right now I am cozy under my electric blanket eating breakfast. Half of my lovely vacation is over.
Having my computer down at work would be terrible since literally 98% of everything I do is on the computer. The only thing I do that doesn't require the computer is coping and filing. So having my computer down 5 times would be a nightmare!!!
Well I better get going. Have a good day everyone. Bye.

Still at home with no voice so I cant do this.
I am starting to feel a little better but still coughing my head off. The bummer of it is I have no sick leave left and so it is time off with no pay. If I dont work tomorrow I will not be paid for Monday off either. Sigh.
I did see my doctor yesterday and he gave me a different antibiotic. I am taking one that I got in 2008 for a sinus infection that would not go away. Hopefully it works as good this time as it did then.
No snow here. Sunny skies. It is supposed to get up to 48 degrees. I will take it!
Lisa, I am so sorry you are having computer issues AGAIN! I hate that. It is not fun at all. I can sympathize as I have them about once a week. What happened to your roof? I cant imagine being roofless in December. Hope they get it done fast.
Debbie, drive carefully if you go out. I love the story of your son's pants! I think it is funny even if he doesn't. Good luck to your daughter and her hockey playing. I love hockey as long as it is not one of my loved ones playing. My nephew plays semi pro and I cringed the first time I saw him play. Are you one of those coupon wizzards?
Jill, I am so sorry about your itching. I have very sensitive skin as well. Try Benadryll Anti Itch Gel. It is wonderful! I too had problems post surgery. Mine was due to the tape. I also had one incision that got infected. Keep on top of it. You are doing the right thing by calling the doctor. Is everything else ok post op? Hope all is well. Congrats!
