Friday Roll Call

Good Morning,

Is everyone done with thier preparations for the Holidays,regardless of which you observe? I am done, Wrapped, baked, bought. My goal for this weekend is to clean . The goal for the next week is to relax and enjoy the season.

I will be cleaning and doing errands today. Tomorrow, is some me time. I m getting my hair done, professionally. Highlites, lowlites and whatever else she does.I am not getting my hair cut short, just trimmed.

Then tomorrow evening we are getting together with friends for a Holiday dinner out.

Christine, please tell us what your health issues are. Maybe one of us have had them.

Crystal, I knew we were near you last weekend, I wished we had been able to see you. Lets plan to meet in Bloomington one Sat. for chat and coffee.

For my work buddies, I made chocolate covered pretzels and choc. popcorn. I put them in bags and then in Chinese takeout containers. Easy and cheap.

Back in November my doc stopped my stress test telling me that "he thought" it was too hard for me to complete. I did not tell him it was too hard but it was difficult just like it always gets in the last 3 minutes. Last years test in my chart said I passed. I have to have a nuclear stress test today at noon. This new doc (my 20+ yrs doc retired and this is his replacement) is "fishing" for things so he can put me through more and more tests and gold and gold in his pockets. He was also not too bright by telling me that the nuclear machine across the room cost him 6 figures! Hence he needs to pay for it. He eluded to the "possibility" of blockage and I might need an angiogram. I am not a doc but I read up on all of the indications for an angiogram and I do not have one of them. This test today supposedly will show if the angiogram is the next step. I will tell him right out at the end of the test if he says that - SECOND OPINION! Also keep in mind this is the same dude that put me in compression hose up to my thighs due to a vascular issue. They are hard as heck to put on and cost $75 a pair, have to be hand washed and air dried.

I have two other issues with each hand. I hyper extended my left thumb on Nov 18th and it is not healing as it should per my ortho doc. And I also have a very painful right index finger joint that gets swollen and it has been painfully bent  since I was a kid. My dad had bent fingers also. My knee doc wants me to see a hand specialist for both. He told me the term and it escapes me for the hereditary condition for the bent fingers.

I go to Cardiovascular Associates at Alexian Bros. Hospital, there in EGV. I see Dr. Dan Sauri. I love him. So, if you need a second opinion, he is the one I would  recconmend.

Good Morning All!

Hope everyone has a lot of elves helpping them get all the holiday things done!  I have a bit more baking to do and waiting on some gifts to arrive that I have ordered, then they can be wrapped.  Everything that I have in the house now for a gift is wrapped-Mom bet you can't wait for yours!

I had to have surgery on 12/5 due to a non-related weight loss issue.  Doing better each day.  I actually feel like doing things today but I promised my husband I would sit and watch TV all day so we could go to the mall tonight.  Again, hopefully the cookie elves will show up and do that for me. 

I will be off wor****il at least January 4 so it has been kinda nice not to have to worry about work and getting everything done.
