Good morning ILLINOIS!!!!

Surprised to see that I am first, but here goes!

I think I may have found my car.  It is a really pretty 2010  "Pacific Blue Metallic" Chrysler Sebring with enough luxuries to make it compfortable for the next 6 years that I will have to drive it.  It has leather interior with heated seats and only 34,500 miles on it.  That leave the balance of the factory warranty to 100,000 miles.  I am hoping to get them to throw in a remote starter and I will be set.

Although the mileage of a Hyundai would be great, there is not a Hyundai dealer in this area that I would trust.  I would have to travel to Wisconsin or Algonquin/Elgin and I really want to stay with this dealer.  Not only that, but this car does not FEEL like a toy like the smaller Hyundai that I drove.

So, now I can begin to focus on Christmas.  I am really late starting this year.  Might have to settle for the fake tree.  I have done some online shopping but have more to do and if I don't get on it very soon, I will have to actually GO to the stores........YUCK!

Congrats, hope your car purchase works out.  Sounds like a great car!  Heated seats sound good to me, even without the remote! LOL>

Can you believe next week is "Christmas Week?"  You are gonna have to race...with all the other people! LOL  Good luck.

I'm off all next week, so will wrap and pick up some minor things, but am mostly done.

We havne't decided yet what to have for Christmas dinner.  We'll prlby to down to Amy and CHloe's and I'm leaning toward suggesting snacks and appetizers.  My back up plan is ham (easy to transport) and a potato casserole recipe...also easy.  I am kinda hungry for my homemade chocolate pie...I may break down and make that regardless of what we do!

Everyone have a super rest of the week.  I only have to work half a day tomorrow...which means I get to leave at 11 am!!!  YIPPEE!

Hello everyone

I completely forgot to log on this morning...that never happens!!!!

Well today we had our department Christmas lunch, it was really nice.  We went to a place called Old Chicago.  It's a pizza place.  We had this appetizer...italian nachos.  It sounded iffy....but it was soooo delicious!!!  Then I had a calzone (well 1/4 of a calzone) it was one delicious calzone.  It was a very yummy restaurant.  

I talked to my grandma (twice now this month).  I think we are finally re-connecting.  We never got along.  But she is really being kind and sweet to me.  She is sending me a Christmas card (the first one since I was a kid) and some old pictures of me as a kid.  

Dawn-  I'm glad you found the car you like.  I hope you get it.  I would love butt warmers in my car!!!!

Georgie- I have all my Christmas stuff done...but I will have lots of baking and gift wrapping to do next weekend.  I always wait to do the baking because if I didn't the cookies would get eaten by me!!! and the wrapping ....I wait just because I hate wrapping.

Nancy and Christine-  what's going on with you guys...I miss your posts

Well I am going to eat my yummy left overs for dinner now.  Have a nice evening 

I am "around" and am keeping up on the news here on the board. I have had a roller coaster of emotions going on with me health wise. The good news is that my knee is a torn ACL (found that out about 3 hours ago) treatable with PT for 4 weeks 2-3 times a week. That beats surgery but still hurts! Still have other issues going on physically - more later.

Keep asking where I am at if I am not here as it does my heart good especially if I do not post. I like that tangible thing of being "asked" for.

I have been so busy at work.  It is unbelievable.  I dont think we have EVER been this busy in December.  January, yes but not this close to Christmas.  Of course we are getting lots of calls on lost orders.  There have been lots of news articles of items not making it when delivered by carriers and left on doorsteps.  This year has been really bad.  That says a lot about our economy. 

I am so glad I have my shopping done and my presents wrapped.  Internet shopping is the way to go for me.  I do have to get out my Christmas letter.  I am behind as far as that goes.  Got to get writing.

Dawn,  the car sounds wonderful!  I would definitely hold out for a remote starter.  I love mine so much!  I hate scraping snow and ice or getting into a cold car.  I am totally spoiled.  The color sounds beautiful but of course blue is my favorite color.  I hope you like your purchase.  It sounds like a good car.

Georgie, I find it hard to believe that Christmas is almost here.  I dont know where the year has gone.  I would take the easy way out for Christmas dinner.  Enjoy your time off next week!

Crystal, I am glad you had a fun lunch out.  It sounds really good.  Also it is great to hear that you are now writing to your Grandma.  You will enjoy those pictures.  I am happy that things are working out for you.
