Monday Roll Call
Hello everyone
Yesterday was a low key do nothing kind of day. Since I did all of the house cleaning and laundry and errands on Saturday there was nothing left to do on Sunday. So I did nothing. I relaxed and watched TV all day.
This week is not a whole lot going on. I have a doctor appointment this week and Amanda has a concert this week.
Steven you will love your Kindle. I now have about 80 books on mine. There are so many books that are free or under $2. I love my Kindle and I go on Amazon every day to see the daily deal....they always have a book on sale for around .99
That's it for me in a nut shell. How about you guys?
Well I got to get going.....have a nice day....bye

Good morning Steven and the rest of Illinois!
I got the Kindle Touch for my birthday and so far I really like it. Mine seems a bit "touchy" and does not always turn the pages like I would expect. Sometimes, when I try to turn the page, I wind up back at the beginning of the chapter. Anyone else have this isse?
Oue night up in Lake Geneva was pretty nice. The hotel/condo we stayed in was awesome. Upon check-in, we received a complimentary upgrade to a loft room! This gave us each a space with a TV to enjoy on our own. The town is similar to Galena with the little shops and stuff. We saw the lighted Christmas parade, ate dinner at Sprecher's and brought home a pizza from Gino's East for last night's dinner. The weather was less than cooperative, but I could see how the area could be beatiful in good weather.
The bad news is that David did NOTHING that was asked of him while we were gone and I am fed up. I am so angry with him I could just SPIT! I am tired of the struggle and told him that he needs to "shape up or ship out" and to stay the HECK out of my way for the near future.
This was a very unpleasant end to what could have been a nice weekend.
Today is Todd's birthday and we are attending Riley's first concert tonight. Both kids are coming and hopefully, it will be a nice evening.
Beginning tomorrow, I can start thinking about Christmas, although I DID pick up a couple of things in Lake Geneva.
Next weekend, we are taking the grandkids and kids to Madison for a cool science/Christmas show (interesting sounding, I know), maybe some bowling and another stay in a hotel with a small water play area for the kids and a HUGE hot tub for the adults. Gotta love "groupon"!
Everyone have a spectacular day!

We had a pretty packed weekend ourselves, My son had 2 hockey games, 1 in my old neighborhood in Chicago and the other at home in Joliet. He had a shut out (he is a goalie) for his 1st game and the team forgot to show up for the 2nd game and they lost 2-6. Our weekends are always filled with Hockey and traveling to/for hockey. I think we have 1 day this week of no hockey..so I have a TON of stuff to get done during the day.
With Surgery 2 weeks away I have A TON of stuff to get done.. I also started my 2 week liquid diet this am. And I have to say, the shake wasnt no where near as bad as I thought it was going to be.
Well, Im off to a doc appt. Hope everyone has a great rest of the day!
