Hello everyone

Well day two of having Blaine and there's no change.  He's closed up in my den.  He hides under the end table and I have coax him out.  I spent some time with him last night and he was fine but the minute I leave the room he hides again.  He also doesn't seem to be eating.  need;ess to say I can't wait till Friday.

Today I have no plans.  How about you guys???

Well I better get going.  See you all later.

Good Morning.

When we cat sat with Monica's cat, she never came out of the bedroom. I took food in there, and I knew she was eating, because the dish was empty. Give it  a bit of time.

Yesterday, I didn't leave wor****il a bit after 5. One of the girls didn't make it in, so we were short handed. I will be leaving today by 4. I need to stop at the travel agents and pay for the airline tickets for our cruise in April.

It looks to be a nice but cold day today. Dress warm.

Hugs,

LISA

Good afternoon Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

Just working today then home to brine the chicken.

I wound up cleaning the theater all by myself yesterday and it took almost 2 hours.  Then I went home for a few minutes before picking up Liv.  Then after picking her up, we decided to stop and visit with a friend who was in town.  We had a nice visit and didn't get home until 10:30.  Then, straight to bed.  No time to worry about David.

The cats will probably begin to get along about the time it is time for Blaine to go home.........

Gotta get back to work!

Everyone have a wonderful day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Crystal, it usually takes more time than what the cats have had. When I have brought a strange cat into the house in the past it sometimes would take close to a month before they would stop hissing and swatting at one another. Even kittens from different litters will hiss at one another.  It is a matter of pecking order and who is to be the Alpha cat. I have even had my cats hiss at one another after they come home from the vet because they now smell different. It will be okay when Charles and Amanda go away to the Peace Corps. So do not use this as a sounding board. Cats are different than dogs which are more pack animals. Cats are loners for the most part.

Well, where do I start? Been home since Monday afternoon, had 2 doc appts on Tuesday - one sort of not too bad (torn cartilage and a cyst - R knee, easy fix with arthroscopy) the other one not so good (the internist keeps coming up with all of "these" tests that he needs to do so it is time for a second opinion. I already have a new doc picked out for my PCP), been back to work, had a meeting in Oakbrook today and now home and we are off to support group soon.

This current doc came into the practice after my long time doc retired. Dave and I do not like him, his office staff argues infront of the patients in the waiting room with the doc's wife as the instigator THEN the biggy - they ask patients what their DOB's are infront of other people in the waiting room! Violation of HIPPA! Dave and the other patients in the waiting room were all whispering about how they do not like the new doc. He stopped my stress test because he thought it was "too hard" for me at the end. Well, it is tough to walk that fast at the end but not that bad. Then he has the audacity to say that I had basically failed and for the staff to call for clearance for a nuclear stress test, he stopped the freaking test! Then he implied that we have to rule out that you do not have a blockage and you might have to go for an angiogram. I had him compare my last year's stress test results to this year and the other doc said I was fine, see you next year. I do not think that he expected me to ask that question. I also have an other issue that was seen on the heart echo - he said that's is okay it is common with high BP - hello why did he ask me? He should have looked to see what the other doc had written in the past because I have been getting them for 20 years. This guy is a gold digger. He keeps adding to all of the things that I think he believes I will need to come back to him for follow ups. This started back in Oct when I had to start wearing the compression hose. I have said to Dave each time we leave there - "wait he will find something different "wrong" with me the next time I see him!" I am sticking around long enough for the follow up doppler test on the veins in the end of Jan and then it is bye-bye, send my chart to this address.

Sorry to vent. I am so freaking mad that I could spit. I am done now. Have a good evening.

oh and ps the additional stress test is only done btwn noon to 3pm so I have to take time off of work.

 Evening Everyone

It has been a LONG day for me.  Work was really busy and then I went to the dentist after work.  Still having problems with the tooth extraction.  He is stumped as to why it is healing the way it is.  He is going to work on it next week after I have been off my coumadin and have taken pre med antibiotics.  There is STILL infection there.

Crystal,  It is really a challenge to introduce two cats to each other.  Another idea you can try is to put one of them in a carrier and let the other investigate.  Maybe, Jasper could sit in the carrier since it is his territory and let Blaine check things out????  The other suggestion I am told that helps is to douse some vanilla on the back of the neck of each cat so they don't "smell" so strange -- They will smell alike.  I agree it does take time and there is always a challenge for pecking order.  Mine occasionally change who is on top and it can be pretty messy while they straighten it out.  For the most part I try to ignore them and let them work it out.

Lisa, it is exciting to be planning for a cruise.  What a nice dream after all those long days that you have been putting in.

Dawn, I think we need to help you learn to say NO.  You have become a comittee of one for that theater group so many times.  Surely there are others who should be helping.  If you dont show up, .... well, they will learn.   I do hope you can get some peace with David.  I can imagine how unsettlign that must be for you and your family.

Chris, it sounds like you have a doctor that is more interested in making money than the health of his patients.  That is too bad.  I have to agree, it is time for a new doctor.  It is one thing when they are trying and are genuinely stumped but when they are milking the system and ordering unnecessary tests,  well, it is time for them to go.  You need someone whom you can respect and trust.  Hopefully the new doctor will be the one.

Everyone have a great evening.
