Tuesday Roll Call

Hello everyone

I am still having a problem with migraines.  I am successfully (at the moment) keeping the pain away but I can tell the migraine is right there.  It's hard to explain to someone who has never had a migraine.  But there is a stage before you get a full blown migraine...that you can feel the migraine but it doesn't quite hurt yet...if that makes sense.  That seems to be where I am at all of the time now.  I hate that because at any time the migraine could start.  Needless to say this will be a long week!!!   

I did nothing last night but to come home and relax.  I slept really good last night

Crystal. A dumb question, but do you eat alot of salt? My mother use to suffer from Miagraines, and she found out that a build up of salt in her system, caused them. My Monica gets them too. I usede to get them, but not as severe as you.

Nancy, could the dizziness be caused by a med you are on?

Dawn, your past weekend sounded like fun. And you are right, kids are more important then a spotless house. Even now, if one of the girls want to do something, I try like the dickens to do it with them. Your kids RE NOT ONLY YOUR KIDS, BUT YOUR BEST FRIENDS.

Christine, I am hoping your legs stat feeling better. 

Just on my way to work. I hate having to drve in this rain, but it is a lot better then snow.

Lisa- It's actually because on my last doctor visit my doctor changed up my migraine medicine.  He warned me there would be break through migraines while my system regulated itself.  Today was much better.  I think tomorrow will be better.  I hope...my fingers are crossed.

But to answer your question no I try to stay away from excess salt.

Nancy-  Actually the doctor put me on Topamx.  He prefers it.  I told him about my trouble with it last time and he has me on a low dose and he wants me step up very slowly,  In the mean time to stop taking my other medicine was a shock to my system so that is the reason for the sudden migraines.  Believe me I have thought about cheating and taking my old meds...but I didn't...I figured it would delay the inevitable.  He said people on Topamax have been known to lose weight and my old meds cause weight gain...so I went off it.

I am sorry about your migraines.  That is why I take the topamax.  Yes there are some side effects but better than the migraines themselves.  Then my relepax is for the breakthrough ones.  Those two drugs are my lifesavers.  I hate it when I get my migraines. 

Today will be a long day for me.  It was a short night.  My carbon monoxide dectector kept going off last night.  I cant figure out why.  No I do not have any signs of poisoning and a window was open in the bedroom.  I will have the fire dept come today but I really did not want them there at 1 am last night.  My dectector is old so I am thinking it needs to be replaced.  It was just the caution light and a short beep but annoying all lthe same.  

Today after work I get to go have 2 teeth pulled.  Oh joy!  Actually I think it will be a good thing and will resolve my partial problems on my bottom teeth.  It will be lots of $$$ but worth it.  

I hope work is better today.  Our system went completly down yesterday which meant we did everything by hand and had no clue on the people calling in or their companies.  Fun!  That lasted all morning and my phone system was not working right either.  Thank goodness it was not all day.
