Monday Roll Call

Morning/day all. Time for me shortly to get rocking and rolling and get ready for the day. I could not sleep as my legs got numb. If it isn't cramping they get numb from the CVI.

I hope to get a recipe up later that we sampled at support group on Thursday for an alternate to green bean casserole. It has pumpkin seeds, Panko bread crumbs, portabella mushrooms etc in it. The doctor's dietician comes up with some great healthy recipes for the holidays. This is a great way to get in some veggies but still have flavor and it is only 50 calories for 1/4 cup serving.

Time for me to make my lunch for work, eat breakfast and "Shuffle off to Buffalo" so to speak and walk to work.

 Morning Everyone, I still am steal dealing with RA its bad in the colder weather. It has demimished
so with my weight lose but it comes and goes. I take Humira for it. It helps me. With out this med.
it would be worse for me.

Good Morning All,

A fast fly-by for me this morning. I had a very lazy day yesterday. watched Xmas movies on Hallmark all afternoon.

I also have another string bean cassarole that I will publish also. This one calls for frfresh green beans, buttermilk,and tomatoes. I will try to do it tonight.

I will be off to work shortly too.

steven, unfortunly, our surguries can't kill all our problems, RA is one of them.

Hello everyone

Talking about problems that weight loss can't help....my migraines.  I have been battling a migraine since last night.  It has been teetering in the beginning stages.  What is aggravating is that sleeping usually makes my migraines go away...that didn't help.  Neither has two doses of Imatrex...on my third.  I hope I last through the day.

I had a nice morning yesterday.  Flat Top had a really nice breakfast and not really greasy.  But kind of expensive.  Amanda's omelet of course was all veggies...mine was sausage, cheese and potatoes...yummy.  I had two bites of her french toast (with brown sugar, pecan and chocolate chips) it was very yummy. 

Their Peace Corp interview went well.  It was very informal.  They try to weed out people they think might not make it through the program.  So as they are interviewing you they are looking for "red flags" and neither one of them got red flags!!!  And Amanda was told she has experience that is hard to come by...which is forestry and agriculture. And Charles was told he might be teaching the teachers English!!!  And of course they both have experience with construction...Charles has volunteered with Habitat with Humanity and Amanda helped rebuild after hurricane Katrina.  So now the next step is they have to be nominated.  I guess they have nominations quarterly for singles and every six months for couples.  So now we just wait!!!!

Anyway...wish me luck in lasting through the day.  I hope my migraine goes away

 Morning Everyone!

Still adjusting to the time change.  I was wide awake at 5 am.  I even went to bed later hoping that would help but nope.  

I still have my dizziness and headaches.  I wish they would go away.  This has been over a month!  Now that I am on antibiotics and everything is draining they are back with a vengence.  Ugh!

Chris, I am so sorry you are having problems with the legs.  I hate the aging bit.  I wish we could stay young forever.  Your recipe sounds really good.  Cant wait to see it.  

Steven, I am so sorry you suffer from RA.  It has to be terrrible.  I only have plain arthritis and that is horrible.  I cannot imagine RA!  I wish there was better treatment for it.  

Lisa, I did not realize that the Christmas movies were already on TV.  I love them!  It is fun to watch them at this time of the year.  

Crystal, I am so glad that Charles and Amanda passed!  I hope you get rid of your migraine soon.  I hate those!  Especially the ones that wont go away!

Quick fly-by for me too as I am working and waiting for the server to come back up.

We had a nice weekend and both parties went very well.  The Aunt was surprised on Friday and the teenagers had a blast on Saturday.  I am really glad that Olivia's friends like to come over.  As Chris said on Facebook......at least I know where they are and what they are doing.  Messes can be cleaned, and my house was put to rights by early afternoon.

Not too much happening this week, the boys are going camping over the weekend, so Iv and I will find soemthing fun to do.  Maybe attend a holiday art show in Madison.

Crystal.......I LOVE Flat Top....any time of day!

Steven, I cannot even imagine living with RA. I have "Arthur" in my fingers, knees and hips and that stinks. My new diagnosis of CVI stinks but it can be made better.

Lisa, wish I could have done what you did yesterday. WOW, that is relaxing.

Crystal, happy your migraine is finally gone. I also look forward to hearing the next chapter of Amanda & Charles's adventure with the Peace Corps.

Nancy, sorry that the dizzy spells are sticking around so long. I cannot imagine living like that.

Dawn, sounds like you and the kids had a fabulous weekend. Yes, a house can be cleaned anytime it is the memories that are important.

I am going to post the ROD now. It is not your traditional green bean casserole with the creamed soup but it was really good.
