It is Friday!!!. Today is chore day. I want to get the house back in shake from Hubbies projects. We still have to do the dinning room, but that will get done after the new year.

I was glad to see some oldies post in the last couple of days. Please come back often.

Hello everyone

Yeah it's Friday!!!!

One exciting thing is today is my daughter's and her husband's  interview with the Peace Corp!!!!  They will be meeting with both of them one on one for an hour each and then together for an hour!!!  I can't wait to hear all about it.  
 
Yesterday I was plagued by a headache all day.  It turned into a migraine later in the day.  I went to bed and couldn't sleep.  I seem fine now...just tired.  I probably should have came home and relaxed but instead I ran some errands after work.  I had a couple of coupons I wanted to use.  I got a really nice Liz Claiborne sweater thater was $54 for $14!!!!  

Today I will be going out for lunch with a new friend at work.  We are going to Hickory something....I forgot.  It's a Texas BBQ place (where's Randy...hahaha).  I'm going to get a pulled pork sandwich.  I will go to Home Depot and Walmart and then come and relax.

Hickory River Smokehouse. It is great. All of the food (salads, meats) except the cottage cheese is made on premisis. They do all of the smoking of the meat there also. Dave and I will share a combo plate and then we take the left overs home. Randy says it is very close to being Texas made briskett that he has found north of TX.

Christine- Yes Hickory River Smokehouse.  It was the best pulled pork I ever tasted.  I tried one of my friend's waffles fries and those were super good too!!!!  I ate almost all of my pork but none of my bread and had no sides.

I am working today, then off to the first party.  I have everything in the car that I will need.

David hurt his foot and spent the morning in the ER.  Luckily, no break, but he has a boot and crutches and needs to stay off of it for a couple of days.  Lucky for him, it is the weekend.  Hopefully, he will be better by Monday to return to work.

I am very hungry for pork carnitas from a local place and am thinking of getting an order.  Some for lunch, the rest for dinner.  YUMMY!

Everyone have a wonderful day and YES, it IS good to see some old faces and some new ones too!

Dawn...glad to hear that David didn't break his foot....but I hear that sprains can tale just as long to heal as breaks.

Yeah for Friday.  Chloe came last night since she doesn't have school today, but I have to work.  I want to go home and play!  Her grandma will be with her.  Chloe wants hamburgers on the grill for supper!  Should be a nice night for that.

Don't forget to turn your clocks BACK this weekend.  Ugh.  I don't like being on this time.  The hours seem to creep by.  
 
I heard on the radio yesterday, 58 days until the end of the the year.  Wow, where did this year go, anyway?

Not much new with me.  Might do a little shopping this weekend.

Crystal, good luck to CHarles and Amanda with their interviews....maybe you should interview and go with them!  WHAT an experience THAT would be!

Georgie...going to a third world country and living in a hut, sleeping on a dirt floor and peeing a hole....is not my idea of fun.  I would take a BIG pass on that.  I love my AC, indoor plumbing and mattress too much!!!!  Not to mention you can't have any kind of debt at all (except for deferable student loans) they won't allow you to just walk away from any finacial responsibility.  And I have a car payment!!!!

Hi all! I think that God is trying to tell me to slow down and not try to rush things. I was supposed to go the informational meeting on November 14th. A friend was going to drive me because I am afraid of driving in Chicago or the suburbs. She called me late last night to tell me she totalled her van by hitting a deer. So, I may not be going this month. I am just grateful that she and her niece are both ok. I have to learn to be patient. Maybe trying to do this over the winter isn't the best and I may have to wait until spring to really get started.
